Tony never wrestles his opponets, its much more taxing on the body to wrestle for 25 min than it is to strike.

He does his share of scrambling and grappling he's always going for the finish, subbed a bunch of guys like Tibau, Barboza and Kevin Lee.

Khabib doesn't try and force a finish he's content to just dominate with his control.

People think he gasses because he takes a round off, its not the same thing, its calculated expenditure of energy. In the Conor fight he went hard for 2 rounds and took the wind out of Conor's sails, then took round 3 off to make sure he would be able to go another 2 hard rounds. A lot of wrestlers use a similar plan, like Yoel always takes a round off in 5 rounders, he did nothing in round 3 or 4 in the first Whittaker fight.

Slowed down =/= gassed. I like your explanation, I just don't see how slowing down a bit while dominating every high level opponent you've faced is a feasible argument for having a shitty gas tank. Or even a suspect one.
