This is the only clip I could find. He was briefly taken done and handled himself really well.
Do you guys remember any other moments of Khabib fighting off his back? What would you rate his level of danger there?
I like how as soon as he got up, he slammed the dude down. Must have taken it as a personal insult lmao.

Khabib was taken down more than this in his career, but he didn't fight many people who could wrestle which was a big reason he was so dominant. Ali Bagov took Khabib down (Ali Bagov also submitted Islam in a Sambo match) and Khabib showed skills off his back. Tibau took Khabib down too and 0-4 Magomed Magomedov had Khabib on his back from reversals and countering bad shots a couple times too.

When he desperately wanted to finish Justin, he jumped to triangle from full-mount going for finishes off his back

Was rare to see him give up a position for a submission but that was clearly one of them

You could tell he just wanted that fight over

Khabib said that when he became champ, UFC offered him additional bonuses for getting finishes. He went on to finish his next 3 opponents.

There's some training footage of him going with Islam where he pulls off some great stuff from the bottom/during scrambles too. Sorry for posting the point without an actual video but don't have the time to do google searches now.

Watching Khabib's grappling footage from outside mma is incredibly frustrating. This guy is out here playing open guards, inverting, attacking leg locks, and hitting lots of subs from his back. It's like he's playing with cheat codes enabled

One of the few guys on here imparting actual knowledge

Khabib is a good bottom ?

Ok no diddy

Every time he got taken that I saw he either immediatley threatened with a submission, or got back to his feet right away.

Sambo guys dont like to be on their back, they dont have the jiu jitsu mentality of hanging out there.

But of course they train very hard off their back. It's considered a "disadvantageous position"

Got any examples of him getting taken down in kindergarten?
The examples you used here are before he came into his own tbf sir.

When I was wrestling, coach used to say..."What's your least favorite place to be?"......."work on it".

I trained BJJ before Sambo, and the difference in attitudes regarding that position were like night and day.
Thats be ause you're not getting hit in bjj tournaments sir.

Khabib was a Sambo champ, Pankration champ and Hand to Hand combat champ. He also fought really good fighters on his way up like Ali Bagov, Eldar Eldarov and Shabulat Shamhalaev. I think Khabib was top 10 ready the day he came to the UFC and had more experience and pedigree than most of the UFC roster even at just 23. But he did fill out and refine his game and become way better, for sure. But the best offensive wrestlers he ever fought were Abel Trujillo, Tibau and Ali Bagov....all of them took him down, its probably not a coincidence. And Trujillo was literally a talented can at best.

I'm just literally responding to what the post said though and I'm stating facts. Okay sir?
