Yes, obviously it was hilarious.

But stupid, disrespectful, and dangerous (if he had slipped on sweat and kicked him in the head / neck, or slipped and injured himself).

Could have just fed him an uppercut for turtling up and let the buzzer go off.

Personally I think the showboating was funny and the rules against grounded kicks and knees make it ironically pretty hard to do damage on a turtle so that was just an entertaining showboaty way of telling Allen to stand up

Doing that as an attempt to spice up an otherwise lackluster fight was extremely corny.

He was wilting mentally but not physically. It was very bizarre to me, something about his posture throughout the fight. Not sure if he was scared of Silva’s power or what. But it was a very winnable fight for him, had he stuck to what he was doing in the beginning.

Well everyone knows Silva has power. Being aware of and avoiding =/= scared. I thought he fought well at first, I thought Allen won round 1. Silva pretty clearly had 2, then 3 was close until the end when Silva just finished harder.

Silva was alot more active in rd 2 and 3. He is clearly trying to restrain himself somewhat after losing the last fight, but he got more comfortable, and thats when Allen starting getting a little overwhelmed.

Jean Silva two fights ago probably finishes Allen, But Jean is trying to fine tune his offense.

I mean Allen is very good and super experienced. IMO he fights way too safe sometimes, sort of the hallmark of a Zahabi fighter. He needs to aim for more damage and aggression, he has the tools for it.

Rewatch the fight and look at his facial expressions. He looked like he wanted to give up toward the end.
