Let me start out by saying, yes i completely agree that Khabib is one scary dude and could easily be the LW Champion in 2018. But, i have been reading so many posts stating Conor has no chance based off how much success Khabib had against Barboza. These fighters are nothing alike outside of them both being stand-up fighters.

Firstly, i think this fight will look NOTHING like the one last night. Conor is probably the most dangerous fighter in the UFC inside the first 2 rounds. He has a cardio problem and Khabib knows about it. Rushing forward yesterday was a direct counter to Barboza's kick heavy fighting style, as Dom pointed out, and would be a very risky game to play with Conor early.

Barboza is no world beater. Sure, he has some highlight real knockouts, but its not against top competition. His best victories are decisions in Pettis and Melendez. He's also not a fast starter nor a counter puncher. Everything about his victories rely on his ability to use his kicks.

We've been given absolutely no reason to doubt that Conor would absolutely tool Khabib on the feet. He's done it to everyone, even in his loss to Nate, who had an 3.5 inch reach advantage as well as a very noticeable height advantage, he had dominated until he gassed. We have absolutely no idea if Khabib can take those same shots.

Conor is going to have a 4 inch reach advantage against Khabib and is only very slightly shorter. This mixed with being a very successful counter puncher is going to make for a very different first few rounds. I see Khabib being a lot more patient in this fight and not trying to force a take-down by charging in recklessly.

Conor would rather get a sex change operation and fight in Invicta rather than face Khabib.

But haters told me Khabib would run straight at Conor and his left won't effect khabib at all. Even though Khabib never faced accurate boxer like Conor before.

Conor is a stay at home dad.

He's irrelevant to serious mma discussion.

Might be exaggerating or misinformed on both those stats, mate. But agree with a lot of what you said aside from that.

Actually, you're right, i was reading the difference in reaches in centimeters not inches. Corrected in OP.

Obviously. But Sherdog is full of morons who think that because Barboza is a "striker" it means him and Conor fight exactly the same, and Khabib would employ the same tactics successfully against both. Despite Conor and Barboza being nothing alike. Barboza's boxing is shit. Barboza has no elite wins.

There's no comparison.

Barboza is a far better mixed martial artist than Conor McGregor.

Actually, you're right, its a 10cm (4inch) advantage on Khabib and a 8.5cm (3.5inch) disadvantage against Nate.

I was surprised to see Nurmagomedov is 70 inches with his reach. Thought it would be in the mid 60's or a little over that.

I think whoever does those measurements is not getting them all correctly.

While Conor was hit multiple times by midget Mendes , rocked by Diaz , submitted by Diaz. Khabib mauls him easy, Alvarez would be a tougher fight for Khabib.

It's really hard for people to be unbiased it seems.

I like Conor, but i can admit that he has a very limited window to win this fight. Inside that window though, it's extremely winnable.

LUL Khabib got rocked by MJ, Conor KOs Khabib without breaking a sweat.

Conor struggles at 155. Didn't he already get chocked out by a gatekeeper?

About as relevant to this match up as Tibau getting robbed against Khabib.

Styles make fights. I shouldn't need to tell you this.

It would definitely be a different fight. But Conor would have to land the KO punch in the first two minutes if he’s to have a real chance.

After that, he’s getting mauled for 4.5 rounds.

There is no way he would last as long as Barboza, he would give up his back in the second round.

Conor struggling against bigger guys is irrelevant? <{outtahere}>

Khabib won't choke him out. He'll smash his face. <GinJuice>
