On Saturday, Khabib won his return fight, but then said he would take this summer off for Ramadan because he is Muslim, but wants to fight after that in the fall.

Ariel reported on it, and then SBG Ireland Coach Kavanagh, an atheist, made this joke:

Well, Khabib just responded tonight with this:

For what little it's worth, I responded to both of them with this:

Hopefully Khabib doesn't show up at my place and suplex me through the concrete

I think Khabib meant that God might not appreciate being joked about.

I can't imagine having a champ who not only is frequently injured but also has large portions of the year that they refuse to fight.

You know what this means right? Khabib vs Conor in a Muhammed vs Jesus religion championship of the world match at UFC 1000

Interesting. Any Kim Kardashian updates?

Until he's stripped. They like to strip people nowadays.
Nah, Ramadan is only just around a month. Of course that throws off some time on either side to get into a training camp, but we're talking about 2-3 months out of the year max. It just happens to be occasionally inconvenient for Khabib's career / the UFC, but not a huge deal imo.

The big one is, can he stay healthy.

Their holy book also says kill the unbelievers wherever you find them

Man, Khabib became part of that stereotype quickly.

inb4 a billion replies.

To be fair, he didn't say, that he was gonna hurt him.

He simply said a truth....You don't joke about religion because you can either be hurt, verbally attacked, harassed, etc since people take that shit way too seriously...not only that but it can hurt other people's feelings n shit.

All religions will hurt you or get hurt by comments like that one way or another, except some muslim will kill you but some Christians will annoy the shit out of you IRL as well.

I habe a serious question, that might sound like i'm joking, but i'm serious.

I've heard about Irish people beating up brazilian immigrants, Conor Mcgregor talking about el chapo, Jesus, The favelas and calling Dennis siver a Nazi, now his coach is messing with what might be the most delicate religion to talk about nowadays.

So my question really is

Are most Irish people kind of ignorant or(and) racist?

Nobody likes people mocking their religion. But when Christians complain, we laugh at them. When Muslims complain, we see it as vaguely threatening. Khabib didn't mean anything by it, but like all Muslims he's being judged because there are some crazies out there.
