I thought he was ranked 11

I can't remember the exact details. I just remember him not being in the the top ten then suddenly top ten material when he fought Khabib.

Khabib took an easy path to the title strap then quit. He throttled Conor who was over rated and another dude. Skipped prime Tony. Hard to rate him.

Khabib never fought a dominant wrestler in MMA. Well except Tibau who made him look mediocre.

Khabib's offensive grappling is the best ever, but it's not hard to imagine a strong wrestler shutting his grappling down and winning the stand up.

A guy like Colby Covington would be a difficult match up. WW was home to strong wrestlers so no wonder Khabib wanted no part of it.

Folks have been saying Colby would be Khabib’s kryptonite for a while. I never got the sense he had the same level of control and strength to overpower Khabib, even up a weight class. Khabib welcomed going to the ground.

Colby has gotta be the most overrated fighter ever here. How would Colby stop Khabib’s takedowns and ground game? No way.

Khabib vs Usman would have been great. Not Colby though. Colby only had fun fights with Usman because Usman could stuff his wrestling and they both had “sloppy brawl” as their only back up plan. Usman didn’t fear Colby’s pitter patter punches so it was fun. Doesn’t make Colby great lol.
