It's not though. Khabib has 9 ranked wins to Islam's 7, a higher win rate as he never lost, and a statistically more dominant career if we look at the percentage of rounds won. All of these are objective metrics too.

Rhonda had the right take. Khabin got out before Father Time started to win. I guess good for him. But nobody wants to see a trend of top fighters retiring early in the way khabib did. Khabib never even tested himself in another weight class like a lot of other fighters. Khabib is like the Rickson gracie of this era. Rickson was really good but really didn’t like fighting.
