I debated to myself who would be a tougher challenge for Khabib - couldn't come up with an answer.

Hard to disagree with Askren here.

Although, I think Khabib is a much better grappler/wrestler than anybody Askren has fought in his MMA career. But then I remembered that it might not matter because Askren was a former MW.

Thoughts?
 
Would 100% pay to watch that fight.

Askren has insane wrestling.
 
Nah. Khabib has yet to fight anybody who's good at punching people in the face. That will be his kryptonite.
 
Props to Ben Askren for retiring then calling out a smaller guy. Big balls on that guy.
 
Would watch it... But might turn out to be boring. Would give the edge to Khabib with better mid-tier striking...
 
When did Askren fight at MW? As much as I love Askren, he's the definition of a can crusher. Sadly we'll never know how good he really was due to Dana.
 
Wrestling is my least favorite aspect of MMA...when it's Clay Guida type of wrestling..but when it's pure art and punishment like the boys from AKA or Ben Askrin..I'm all in. I would pay the same money I paid for MayMac to see Ben Askrin against Khabib or GSP.
 
Never thought of this but this fight would be incredible. Would love to see it. Askren might actually be the only person who can beat Khabib

If Ben legally changed his name to something Russian sounding and grew a beard, could he sneak his way into the UFC without Dana knowing.
 
Khabib's kryptonite are three possible things:

Early KO artist
Insane BJJ guy like Kron
Wrestler with lights out TDD and great power (Woodley) or a guy that is better than him in all these areas Khabib is good (tho
Askren grossly misunderates Khabib's striking).
