I can see no argument that he's in any way, shape, or form limited in his grappling. Cage, no cage, ring, parking lot, phone booth, doesn't matter. Khabib gonna Khabib.

His grappling earlier in his career was masterful. He either can’t do it anymore or chooses not to use it. Probably the former

Khabib fought half his career in rings, and has matches in UFC where he easily took dudes down in the middle of the octagon. People just don't understand that when Khabib pressures you, you end up with your back at the cage, and Khabib works his magic to dominate you in time of possession, control you and take you down. It really doesn't matter where he catches you, you going down.

Coming in to this fight it was a lot of talk that Khabib needs the cage to dominate his opponent with his grappling, the dude takes Gaethje down with ease without the cage.



Sorry if post a lot about Khabib but the grappling leading to the finish is so beautiful to watch.

Damn he made Gaethje look like a whitebelt...

the ring is so superior to a cage. It changes the dynamics of a fight as you can’t hold people against it. You can cut off the ring which brings more action.
