If the UFC doesn't cut Zuba, it is confirmed that Khabib now runs the UFC.

If UFC cuts Zuba and Khabib quits the UFC, he will retire undefeated and will always have the Conor win to brag about for decades to come . Conor will NEVER get his rematch either. Khabib's 27-0 record also would confirm that he is the Light Weight GOAT.

Khabib Bless.

If Beebz rage quits Conor will have retired him with words

I would prefer that he leaves the UFC now, chin up, proud, undefeated, feared and dignified.

What else can a man wish for?

Until the UFC strip him of his title and the fanbase start to turn on him.

"Dana, what about Khabib?"
"Look Khabib doesn't want to fight. He's still under contract, the title fight's there for him when he comes back".

Ferguson has a comparable record as far as top wins goes. He gets the title and defends a couple of times people are going to be putting him over Khabib on the Lightweight GOAT lists. He'll call out Khabib, the narrative will change to "Khabib's hiding from the top competition".

Conor might not get a rematch. So he'll start saying "Khabib's gone running". Fans are going to want to see the rematch, eventually the narrative will be "Khabib's scared!".

People are high on Khabib now. In 6 months, if he's refusing to fight when everyone is clamoring for Khabib/Tony, fans will turn on him. For a guy who cares about honour and legacy, that's going to hurt.

In a year the division is going to have a new champion. Two years, it will have moved on. Eventually Khabib is going to be one of those guys who never reached his potential. His best win was Conor; so his legacy is dependent on whether Conor goes on a win-streak or a series of losses.

If Khabib quits, (and since he is under contract he can't go fight elsewhere) Conor would ride him forever with a full on verbal assault.

Khabib would lose his mind.

Even Dana would join in and start talking shit about Khabib.

Khabib is no GSP, he takes everything they say seriously.

Khabib doesnt care about any of that though; to him his family is over everything. Its ride and die together till the end.

It still wouldn't equal the physical assault that Khabib gave him though. Hard to talk shit about a guy who beat the shit out of you.

Than there's no issue. If Khabib wants to retire, he can retire. I don't know how that's Khabib sticking it to the UFC though. It literally cost him his career in the cage, and the UFC would just strip him and move on to the next.

I'll be upset we don't get Khabib/Tony and I'll blame Khabib. Just like a lot of other people. Eventually everyone will move on from Khabib and he'll be a guy who could have been the greatest ever.

Khabib retiring now will look really bad. He has to fight tony. That fight was scheduled 4 times already. Let's go for 5 and have it happen for Petes sake.

Conor still runs the UFC. Khabib has neither the personality or looks to bring in the crowds Conor does (unfortunately looking like an extra from planet of the apes doesn't appeal to the crowds, despite being the superior fighter)

Khabib doesn't move needle. He just tries to save his pussy cheap shotting friends career. He knows his own career is done after Conor gets his rematch or Ferguson.

Yes, as a spectator I too would like all top fighters in their prime to retire and leave the sport. Makes for exciting viewing when the best no longer compete.

If he quits the ufc he won’t be able to fight for a living. Not sure that’s a win win, but I don’t kno details of Khabib life, Maybe he doesn’t need the money.

some people care more about worshipping a fighter than watching exciting fights
