Why are you watching a sport you don't understand? You really think he is boring and irrelevant? Look on Youtube what other pro fighters said about Khabib after the Poirier or Gaethje fight...

Khabib is my favorite fighter to watch, I love high level grappling and he's the best grappler in the history of MMA.

I guess its a case of different strokes for different folks.

Wrong, but then you usually are.

Khabib fan here.
Loved all his fights.
Telling MJ to throw in the towel.
Making Edson and Dustin look like antelope being slowly mauled by a lion.
Pulling amazing transitions on Justin in a super slick sub.

Conor was a cherry on top but NOT the reason to be a Khabib fan, as much as you want to believe that so badly.

Of course not, him beating Conor was awesome but I was already a fan. The two performances that really sold me on him were the MJ and Barboza ones, those were absolute beatings that are a joy to watch. I was actually salty when he beat RDA since I was rooting for RDA at the time.

He is boring, just because I find his style boring doesn't mean I don't understand the sport, I'm not denying his style is effective its just not the most entertaining style for me. Its all subjective, some people enjoy watching the crotch sniffing side whilst others appreciate the striking side more, being a fan of the former doesn't make you more of a proper fan or more knowledgeable.

I completely agree that what is entertaining is 100% subjective.

This isn't a snark, I'm honestly curious why you'd watch a sport (MMA) which is a mixture of something you like (striking) and something you find boring (grappling) when you could be watching sports which consist only of what you enjoy (boxing, kick boxing). Isn't that like say a cycling fan who dislikes swimming and running watching triathlons when there are more than enough cycling events available for viewing?

Moreover, the striking in boxing and kick boxing is better than in MMA (MMA fighters have to spend time training grappling), so in watching MMA you're not only getting a significant portion of what you find boring (grappling), but lower quality of what you enjoy (striking).
 
I've enjoyed watching Khabib fight since his debut back in 2012.

Crotch sniffing, and proper.

2 1/2 years later and still unable to process your feelings. You’re only here to watch Conor, and he never fights. I bet the reality is that you’re pissed off that your hero never fights. 2 fights in 4 1/2 years. That must be frustrating.
 
He's boring.. one of the best to ever do it but boring..

Gaethje vs mj = war
Khabib vs mj = fast forward unless you really hate mj..
Ferguson vs barboza = one of the best fights ever imo

I realize usman, khabib and mm is better than lawler, gaethje and figueireido but i want to see a fight.. not a guy lying on his back or held against a fence..

It's like watching a snake feed.. once it's gotten a hold it's really not that much more to it vs watching a cheetah hunting down a gazelle in rough terrain..

And no, i won't go watch kick boxing.. it's just the grinding style isn't entertaining to me..
 
Khabib is fun to watch cause he looks like an inbred idiot then proceeds to wreck everyone.

The Barbosa fight was fun for a round and a half/ Domination is fun and all, there just comes a time where you need to finish the damn fight
 
It depends, do you want to see the guy lose? yeah, fucking horrible, other than that is decent entertainment, even before the fight he gives decent interviews, the Bond bad guy accent helps i guess.

To me, it also appears that Khabib is evolving, getting better and better at his craft.

I wish I had saved the link, but there was an analysis showing how Khabib's style has evolved since the beginning.

But yeah, I don't see how anyone doesn't enjoy watching Khabib, a true master at his craft.

Khabib is super fun to watch. He wastes no time and is super aggressive.

I remember the last card he fought on, every single fight before his guys were so tentative it was annoying to watch. I'm talking wasting entire rounds with guys just staring at each other sparring. Every fight was like that. Then khavib fought justin and there was zero patty cake bullshit. He was there to end justin, that's why I watch mma.
