How about you go through major knee surgery and see how many fights you can bust out a year. He just fought 3 months ago, he's fighting in a week, and plans to fight again by September. It is very realistic for him to fight August/ September then again in December. He's done that before.

Most champions fight around twice per year. Occasionally they may actually have 3 title fights in a calendar year. DJ had his last 3 defences in 10 months. And the 3 before those in a 12 month period. 6 in 25 months. But that is not usual for most champions.

I think the UFC likes the twice a year timeline as well. Lots of time to promote the fights of the more popular champs. They do alot of media commitments during the off season. Plus each fight is very important. It’s a world title fight.

I’m totally fine with two defences per year. If Khabib wins then fights again in the autumn. Then that’s right in line with fighting twice per year.

You can’t crucify the guy for something that hasn’t happened yet. That’s just silly, and a bit immature. If he wins the belt. Then doesn’t fight within about 6 months. You can bitch all you want. Until then you have nothing legit to bitch about.

I actually started watching MMA before 2015, unlike Conor’s fans.

I can point out how stupid it is to bet on 3 fights a year from Khabib without being a Conor fan.
