Khabib=Fitch=Askren

Fitch and Askren were both dominate in their performances, but didn’t finish. Dana cut Fitch with only 3 losses on his incredibly stellar ufc record. He won’t even entertain an undefeated Ben Askren

He claims both are too boring with their style, and lack of finishes, yet Khabib is the champ.

All are great fighters, what’s the difference? Personality? Not bowing before Dana?

Khabib is NO Fitch or Askren. Granted, he's not a truly top level MMA striker yet, but what he does have is highly effective when used along with the TD threat. Plus, he has some of the best ability to get TDs ever seen in MMA; GSP relied on great movement and blasting away at guys in the standup to get to TDs, whereas Khabib can just force his way into a TD like a diesel truck.

Askren finished his last 3 opponents in a combined 12 minutes and didn't get hit once.

Khabib VS Askren is my dream fight.

Well honestly, I can see Khabib becoming a GSP style champ who clearly decisions the rest of the division but fails to finish most of the top guys. Then at some point someone like Johny Hendricks comes along and actually gives him trouble. I'm not hating on Khabib at all and I think he's a very deserving champ, but he might not the unstoppable mauler some folks thought he would be either. He clearly beat Al tonight, but that wasn't exactly a mauling or a destruction, and the division is full of guys who are at least as good as Al.

Maybe the Askren part was too much. And Roufussport had been legit impressive in making sure he didn't become the typical American lay and pray wrestler in MMA. But Khabib as another Fitch? Can we please get real here? The sport is not the same now as it was in 2012. Why is that so insanely hard to get our heads around?

Khabib has a much bigger fan base than the other 2. Fan base = $$$ to the UFC
