Always seemed funny to me that people NEED a fighter to have an over-the-top personality so they can root for them. Islam brings it every single time and that's why I like him. Not acting like a jackass is a plus for me.

I would not call Khabib an "over-the-top" personality in terms of antics. Fedor, Shogun, JDS, DC are just some of the examples of fighters with personalities that are likable.

Unmemorable fighters just won't capture public or media attention much.

I wouldn't say Khabib's personality is overbearing either though. Those that have that flamboyant, theatrical persona though are the ones I don't care about. I know that's what sells tickets to the casuals but that's the difference between them and I.
