Khabib claims McGregor vs Alvarez was 'fixed'

conor is a terrible matchup for Rda, Eddie, Gaethje, Cerrone, Barboza and Dustin. No question about it.

Khabib beats him badly imo.

Diaz will always be a headache for him. Masvidal can take those punches good as well, imo. Id be a fun fight. Lee could do something if he decides to make it a wresslin match but he is too young and wild yet.

Tony id say its a 50/50 , if he can eat those punches like the tough sob i know he is ... he got the win.

Khabib, like Tony, leaves his chin out there too uncomfortably for me to say that he would completely dominate Conor. Especially in those girst two rounds when he is fresh he is one of the more dangerous strikers in MMA. I give Khabib the same odds as Tony against Connor. The only difference between both Tony and Khabib is that Tony is never a safe fighter while Khabib will not shy away from taking a safer route. That might give him an extra edge against Connor that Tony doesn't have.

50/50 Tony vs Connor
Tony is strong/fast/wild/reckless/great grappler
52/48 Khabib vs Connor
Strong/great grappler/methodical.

No Alverez is just a moron. Fighting against a sniper buy rushing in with his chin up even with having a huge reach advantage.

“100 per cent I think this is real title fight,” Nurmagomedov said, speaking about this weekend’s fight with Ferguson. “I don’t care about him [McGregor], you guys know his Uncle Dana give him a gift. He jumped over all contenders and he fought for the title. I do not understand this fight [McGregor vs. Alvarez], he catch him a few times and he falls down—to me this is a fake fight."

I'm not the only one who had questions about that fight. I even made a topic about it and it got deleted for expressing my opinion.
Have to say I think Khabib is wrong here...

Kebab needs to be fined from the UFC for this shit. You can't go around questioning the legitimacy of the sport you are in. He also better be 100% in panic wrestling mode from the bell and he will get slept.

I thought that fight was a fix too. Eddie allowed himself to get Ko'd for a life changing pay day. UFC is shady as fuck. Wake up people.

hes either just talking shit or is going off his memory of the fight and hasn't rewatched it yet. Probably the latter. Khabib is smart.

edit: maybe also a mistranslation? maybe he doesn't mean it was literally fixed, just that it wasn't really a fight. I dunno. Not trying to be a khabib apologist, just find it weird he would make a claim like that

Highly doubt it was fixed but on the topic Eddie seems like a guy who would take a dive for $$$

must have been a shitload of money... like in the millions.

He holds the belt so he's going to get paid well regardless. If he loses the belt then he will never get paid that much ever again for each fight. He also has a stain on his legacy and got absolutely embarrassed... imo that costs the most.

I would think he would have just had stayed down after the first knockdown if it was fixed... but instead he decided to get more brain damage.

Yeah...MMA is real easy in hindsight.

Link the thread where you stated all this pre-fight...

Yeah...that's what I thought, Champ....

wow, one year later.... I don't know, never though about it. maybe anderson. you know, the MW GOAT that actually defended the belt not only once, but 10 times. but the thing is, you're not a striking LEGEND if you struggle against journeymen nate diaz

Every fighter will decline after a while - ageing does that.

So by your logic, no one who fights beyond their prime is legitable to be a legend.

?

mcgregor was like 27 when he lost to nate, far from the age that fighters start to decline, their mid 30s

Bro people can talk all the shit they want about Conor, but my god he is a striking legend.

Yesss...a STRIKING LEGEND.

In a sense it was.

Perfect timing for Conor to face the weakest LW champion

No defending his FW title for two fights in a row and one he lost.

Conor? the conversation had clearly shifted to Anderson and I quoted you too.

WTF are you smoking son?

Conor's a great striker as long as he's fighting wrestlers... lol.

I don't blame him. People though Silva/Griffin was staged. It's when one fighter completely surpasses the limits other fighters put on themselves and thus others, that they cannot comprehend how it can happen.

If they fight hopefully he doesn't underestimate Conor and finds himself flattened on the canvas

Conor is alot of things , lack of mma ko power is not one of them

And the eagle isnt known for his virtuouso striking

Anderson lost the stand up vs. Chael. Conor clearly lost to Nate because of stamina issues, not striking. Not to mention, Nate is a damn good MMA boxer in his own right. No one beats a Diaz by boxing them - only Conor has done that and even he had to resort to leg kicks.
