This is the most impressive thing Conor does, he did it a ton in the second Nate fight too, where he makes a punch miss by millimeters and never flinches, then immediately returns fire, like he knows EXACTLY where that punch is going to land and doesn't move an inch more than he has to. I dislike conor about as much anyone but nothing fake - just a really stupid approach by Alverez - he just basically fought to what conor does best - He came in on a straight line, did move to his left and double up and triple up on his jab, moved in straight and did what he always does and tried to exchange, and it did not help that he is not a kicker.

Alverez's style was taylor made for a guy like conor and his attributes (what he does best, slid back and counter with his left).

And I think by fake meaning conor did not have to work his way to the championship fight - did not defend his 145 and took 2 fights with Nate and we were lead to believe that he would after the 2nd Nate fight - but got a free shot against a stylistically perfect and one of the weakest champs in 155 memory without having to work his way there. Then decides to take time off after winning the 155.
