Khabib and Sherdog: From tiramisu jokes to "He´s the next champ, Tony doesn´t stand a chance"

I remember a couple months ago every thread about Khabib was full of jokes about:
Tirasumiu
He´ll never make 155 again
Should move to WW
AKA injuries
Ramadan
He only fights once every 3 years, etc.


Then he beats my man Barboza (true warrior) and all of a sudden people are saying Ferguson doesn´t even stand a chance anymore?

I still believe it´s a 50/50 fight.

But I see Ferguson's toughness, heart and cardio being a decisive factor in this fight.

This my man, it's exactly the same way i feel about the fight.

If Tony wasn't so great at defending from his back and slipping people into submissions from there, then i would say without a shadow of a doubt that Khabib would maul him but Tony is great from that position, with a proven track record. Gonna be a great one that's for sure.

That’s the way Sherdog works. After going undefeated all these years, Khabib could lose a razor-thin split decision and suddenly he will be “exposed”.

I really like Tony Ferguson, however Khabib is and will most certainly take him down and one of two things will happen. One, Tony gets taken down by khabib & receives some hellacious ground-and-pound but pulls off an incredible submission with his 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu black belt skills. Two, Khabib takes Tony down and mauls him Grizzly Bear style for five rounds or even tko's Tony and becomes the new lightweight champion of the UFC. These are the only two outcomes I can see happening. Tony knocks out khabib the world will s*** its pants. TS, the only 50/50 is the two options I just wrote in this post, not the fight. This is most certainly gonna be a Khabib win. Hence why I said the world would shit it's pants if Tony wins by KO or even Sub at that. Yes, Tony is one of my favourite LW's, I used to hate Khabib, but Khabib is too an scary at LW bruv.

Khabib has had plenty of fans on here for a good while. The ones talking shit are mostly not the same ones who support him.

He was down after pulling out of the Ferguson fight and those who didn't like him pounced. Once he steamrolled Barboza, his fans were moe vocal and the haters didn't have much to say,

But you can't blame people for poking fun on Khabib pulling out and being injured, dude does that a lot.

Nay, i dont see Tony pulls submission on Khabib, thats another 'Barboza knee' factor, imo. There is a grappler chance, but IMO, little.
I feel he rather can take a decision if he wins.

Many said he was the best even before the RDA fight. But after the RDA fight, considering RDA was in a renaissance and just beat Cowboy, and considering the fashion in which Khabib schooled him, only the blind chose not to see Khabib's dominance.

I’m pretty much neutral on both these guys. I’m not for, or against either of them. There’s been some cringey words coming from both these guys a bit lately. But, it hasn’t been enough to make me dislike either guy. And that is the same way I feel about 90% of the UFC roster.

But, I make predictions on every fight. So, of course I’d like to see my predictions come to fruition. But, if the other fighter deserved to win, more. I’m good with that.

But, unless I see something leading up to the fight to make me change my mind. I’ll likely predict Khabib to win that fight.

Abel Trujillo fight for me. That's when the hype started, the RDA fight just cemented it.

Then he started getting injured after that, and laid off. And all the new Conman casuals had no clue who he was.

Majority of Sherdoggers have always been like this unfortunately. Remember how Francis was an indestructible behemoth? People only jumped on his hype train because he is a big, black, muscular man. Anthony Johnson, Papy Abedi and Melvin Guillard were hyped as well. They all certainly have talent but they aren't as great as Sherdog likes to make them out to be.
