Keyboard Jockey Attempts Two AR-15 Builds

The itch to begin a second AR-15 is getting almost too much to handle. I fucking went through all the parts I would want (barrel, trigger, fucking everything but the BCG essentially) and bookmarked them. Someone please stop me. Which basically means @ironwolf you stay away.

Get ready for Memorial Day sales. :cool:

Haha!!! You don't want me anywhere near this. I have less self control with gun purchases than anybody I know.

I have like 8 builds basically done in my head lol

Damnit

No kidding

I have 2, my AR-10 and my home defense gun.

Half tempted to just put a bunch of parts into carts on the three websites I have been looking at and wait until the Memorial Day sales to checkout.

I hope the ar15 big dosent bite me again. And I think I'm pretty lucky that I've always been happy with stock 10/22s.

Out of all h guns out there, ar15s and 10/22s seem like the biggest money pits, it's like a never ending thing with those guns.

This is what my home defense AR-15 will probably look like just with a Midwest Industries M-LOK handguard, that JP Enterprises flash hider

The Minimalist stock from Mission First Tactical and this for a light;

With the pad on the top of the rail. This for an optic:

And one of those BCM stubby fore grips.

I'm just hung up on the fucking iron sights I want to use. Leaning some Diamonhead flip up sights. Oh yeah, the Ergo grip... I really am not a huge fan of the MOE grip. I guess I am also kind of hung up on the charging handle too but ultimately that isn't a huge deal... those gasbuster ones are pretty workable looking.

I do have one psa lower and parts kit that is still in the packaging. Not sure what (if anything) I want to do with it. Maybe just sell it or trade it for ammo, or a holster or something interesting.

Nice look rifle. Love the Ergo grip.
I was looking at those Noveske Flaming Pig's and the damn things are ridiculously expensive and just direct muzzle flare away from the shooter and nothing else.

For my money Noveske sounds overpriced on everything but the barrels. And maybe those takedown pins. :D

Realistically those are for sbr's. While it may redirect it, it's still a large blast.

Not called the Flaming Pig for nothing haha.

The next muzzle device I get for an AR will likely be the Precision Armament Efab. A very slightly worse is the Afab but it is also $50 cheaper.

That made me blow my wad. What a beaut, so neat.

Just had to blow my wad in this fantastic thread. Some real neat builds in here

Thanks for stopping by. Some great contributors have made this a highly educational journey for me. Please chime in any time.

I have a Noveske/Vltor build that looks just like this, except Ergo grip and Sig brace + AFG. Its the shiiiiiit. It's my bedside gun at the farm and slap a .22 conversion bolt and its the funnest .22 with the Aimpoint on it..

I've read its supposed to help with backpressure on short barrels.

@Cubo de Sangre

This is an example of what I mentioned a while ago.

That is just the barrel nut but it would give you an idea of what a really short handguard/fluted barrel/nice gas block would look like.

Maybe something like this.

Black barrel with possibly white cerakoted flutes. Like the Battle arm's barrel just with white flutes. Idk lol don't mind me.
