Kevin Lee makes bad life decisions

Agreed. Poor Kevin… looked like a world beater after the Edson fight. Cannot be an undersized offensive wrestler, just doesnt work in the Ufc anymore. He doesnt have the standup skills for 170. Firas is the luckiest coach alive. Got a once in a lifetime athlete in GSP and people think he’s something special but hasnt built up any other fighters despite half the ufc roster training there at some point. Kevin needs to stop lifting weights and focus soley on cardio

Agree except the Tri-Star choice which lets him learn from G F'ing SP.

your comment comes from a place of hate. i agree that he should be cut, but for different reasons. i think he can succeed in the ufc, but he'll always be a gatekeeper. i also think he was stupid to refuse to step down in competition after the ferguson loss/ iaquinta loss. if he gets cut, he can go to bellator and fight people at his level or lower, be the big fish in a small pond etc, get sponsorship money from brands other than venum (he's a jerkoff but he's marketable) and he could even be champ there or at least make for some interesting matchups with pitbull/mckee or the other pitbull depending on who ends up champion. he can even moonlight at 170 and fight mvp in a one-off or some shit. all i'm saying is that there shouldn't be any shame in going to bellator. not at this point. not at this stage in his career. he can't be champ at this rate. why accept a gatekeeper role and let idiots like kono dio da! talk shit about you on sherdog. go to bellator, enter the tournament, win a million dollars, take pics with 50 cent, appear on weird shotime broadcasts etc.
 
Kevin Lee is too mentally unstable to be a great fighter.... not in a mean antisocial crazy schizo tony type of way but more of a histrionic snowflake insufferable millennial type of way.
 
With 90 seconds left in rd 1, he was in half-guard. I said to myself, "if he gets the mount, he'll lose this fight via decision or 3rd round finish."

It didn't play out that way and he ended up losing anyway, but still, I know Fighter Kevin Lee.
 
Sadly I think the knee injuries really took a toll on him too

He chokes in every almost every big fight he's had. If they keep him around he'll probably be a 50/50 fighter. Decent gatekeeper.
 
He should be at 155. Rodriguez looked huge compared to fighter Kevin Lee tonight!
 
His gas tank has gone to shit. He was fighting a guy coming in on two weeks notice and got outlasted. Not a good look.
 
Did he ever fight Michael Johnson? If not they should. Someone will find a way to lose and it'll be great to see who wins at that between the two

Rodriguez has a really weird build for 170. Listed at 6'2" and looks most of that, but he's big and fairly soft around the midsection. If you just showed me a picture of the guy and told me he was 6'2", I'd guess that he was at least a MW if not a LHW but taking this fight on two weeks notice he clearly doesn't have any issues hitting the mark at 170.
 
I like how Sherdog selectively blames the coach or fighter solely based on the jokes they want to make.
