I have a general rule of thumb I use when getting tattoos (I have a lot at this point):
Only get it if it is *objectively* cool to you: it has a story/interesting history behind it that will never grow old. It can be historic, it can be personal, it can be fantasy, but it has to be something you can imagine telling your grandkids about to entertain them. Hyper-violence, sex, NAMES, or "cool" looking things are generally a bad idea that only temporarily looks good . . .probably only to you.

With that being said. . . "cool" looking armor wrapping around your skull that by necessity needs to coincide with your coincidentally currently en-vogue hairstyle. . . not a great idea.
