Media Kevin Holland rage quits press conference

Holland is definitely better at welterweight. But at 32 years old I question whether he can turn it around.

With that said, Sean Strickland looked done after 2 losses and then went on a championship run. Holland had a split decision loss to JDM, so it's always possible he puts it all together and goes on an insane run.

Personally I dont blame him. 8 min is a pretty long time for a Holland interview with press

Him bringing up Rampage was pretty abrupt but unfortunately they brought him up two more times. And the last question was pretty cold

As for the interviewer calling him FKL that shit was unprofessional as hell. I mean you got one job to do lmao

Do podcasters pay their guests? From what I've read that's not the norm. Doesn't seem like it would make you any money by doing one which defeats the purpose.

I know I cannot suffer even ten seconds of a Kevin Holland interview. What I do not know is how it is that people are so slow/incapable of noticing when a person has "lost their mind". To me, he is clearly is suffering from some form of light to moderate psychosis.

He lacks perspective and is hyper aggressive. It was most obvious in his Rampage interview, but is becoming a more frequent feature of his personality, his so-called distastefulness.

It falls very much in line with the "defense of reality" theory of psychosis. He is constructing a new reality to justify/defend against a reality that he finds threatening or distasteful. The problem is, as with most things, the threat comes from within; so, like a cancer or autoimmune illness, his constitution is cannibalizing his mind.

I may be wrong (and very much so), but I would not be surprised to see Holland pulling some Mayhem Miller, T-Ferg, BJ Penn, like stunts in the near (6mo to half a decade) future.

Good insight even though we won't know if that is true or not until later as you suggested. That being said, I understand the love of fighting, but not doing interviews and asking for money for interviews is a bad look especially for a mid-level fighter. I've never understood those fighters who choose to not do interviews. It hurts your fighting career unless you are undeniable such as Anderson Silva or Alex Pereira.

An example I use is Amanda Nunes. Probably the greatest women's mixed martial artist ever. She could never draw a dime and if you are a casual you might think Rousey is the great women's fighter of all time. Amanda's career could have been so much more had she done interviews.

They can fight after Holland gets cut

Fight in Mike Perrys league

He's very good on the feet, but not good enough overall for the elite.

He also seems to have kind of a weak mindset (compared to the elite), pretending that he doesn't want to champ as a cope, etc.

he just turned heel, he dont care about winning just selling
a bit sad because the talent was there, now he's even too old for a contender status
He wasn't winning much anyway

That wasn't a rage quit.. just seems he felt it was a perfect time to end the conference in style.

Beat a couple cans to avoid getting cut > get a main card slot against a ranked opponent > fight like absolute shit just to collect a check > rinse and repeat.

Calling this guy a gatekeeper is a massive compliment. He will never be better than a D-level fighter.

At least he's coming off a win so his trash ass can afford another string of losses.

Horseshit thread. Holland is a weirdo but he didn’t seem in a rage whatsoever. Telling his perspective of a situation and leaving at the end of an interview he answered questions on seems like rage to tender skinned people
