Kevin Holland is First A level Athlete in UFC

Bro that’s how weak mentality are created. That’s what makes them soft. Rofl ya let me flop around so I can get some extra free throws. Same “athlete” gona be going down from body kicks flopping around like they just got their nuts kicked.
Do you mean how fighters claim getting hit by illegal punches, kicks and eyepokes, wich clearly didn't happen ??
Damn those weakass bitches, maybe they should try chess.

Athletes in sports like basketball and soccer don't flop because they are weak, they flop because they want to win the game. The consequences for a foul are extreme, and if you flop successfully you give your team an advantage. It's silly to think that pro athletes are quitters.
I dont know how many times I see on here people calling ball players who flop "weak pussies". Like they cant understand they are trying to win at all costs, even by deception. But because a 250 lb tight end takes a dive to sell the play because he was touched on the back, he's automatically a pussy and could never fight. I swear the mma community is full of the dumbest, drooling, tards. Maybe Bob Arum was right.

Somehow people on here seem to believe that Holland is gonna run through the top 10 lol.

Obviously you don’t really believe that making it to the top in one ultra competitive sport means they could never succeed in another sport by definition.

What's the standard?

That's subjective but certainly not a set of 3 sports including baseball FFS.
Basketball and football are also pretty incomplete sports so none of those two.

I think the only 2 team sports which could have a case as a relevant standard are rugby and hockey.

Didn't an A level basketball player just get KO'd by a YOUtube surfer dude?? Didn't Brendan Schaub play in the NFL? How good of a fighter was he? Matt Mitrione-NFL, Bob Sapp-NFL. A level athletes, bad fighters. Sorry sir, I believe you are wrong.

Those same free throws are the difference between getting winning a championship, being brought back the next year, getting a raise or a pay cut.

The soft mentality is the one who sticks his chest out and says "I'd rather lose in style than win ugly."

Just because you're in the NFL or nba doesnt really mean you're an A-level athelte... fyi.. sorry casuals.

I understand that you don't understand team sports lol

That's okay

A level athletes make pathetic fighters.
Wrong. There's lots of A Level athletes in combat sports. Athleticism is a strength just like you would consider cardio, power, speed, etc. People think A Level is only reserved for basketball and football - it isn't. They just use that base for the bigger/taller athletes because most A-Level athletes at that size can be found in those sports because of the pay discrepancy between NBA/NFL compared to combat sports.

I see a lot of football and basketball names being thrown around in here but lets not forget Steve Bosse played in the NHL and win or lose he fought his ass off.

Fighting isnt just about being the most athletic. There is a mental aspect to it that can not be taught. Thats why the best guy does not always win in a fight. Sometimes a guy is just willing to take more punushment to win at any cost and jsyt because they can play football or basketball or soccer means they have that.

They really believe people who start flopping on the floor as soon as a hair gets touched on them, would really have the heart to fight it out like gladiators. They can be good as they want but when the going gets tough most of those a level athlete will quit. There are only certain exceptions but most would flop like they always do.
Flopping is part of the sport to draw calls has nothing to do with toughness. The goal is to influence the ref to make future calls on your behalf

Rugby and hockey players are slow and weak compared to football players. Their agility is also lesser than nfl skill positions. There was a rugby player , recently, who tried out the NFL, and failed. He was decently fast but lacked agility, vision and other intangibles that make the difference between NFL and rugby. He was an elite rugby player and couldn't make a single nfl roster

Combat sports do require a very high level of athletic ability. Most people competing in the ufc, one of the highest levels of combat sport, can thus probably be considered A-level athletes (especially since it's a fairly arbitrary distinction).

Lower weight classes are most certainly a level as there is no alternative for them. Higher weights is debatable. The few A level athletes we have seen at heavyweight for example have had moderate success despite minimal skill (schaub, mitrione, lesnar, carwin, etc) all top 10 guys with lesser skills than the overeems, Werdums and nelson's of the world. We're they champs, only Lesnar but they still did well and in no other sport could that happen

Don't forget Stipe was a washed out baseball player who couldn't even come close to hacking it in the MLB, but somehow became HW champ and UFC HW GOAT at that. LOL

true I sort of left him off since he did have some boxing experience, but nonetheless he couldn't make it in any of those sports
