Kentucky Derby...and Beyond?

This sucks as I was all set to play against him completely as the public's likely 2nd choice;

I may just play the race this way in some $5 exactas;

Strike Power, Good Magic / Good Magic, He Takes Charge, Marconi

Not too interested in hitting a Good Magic over Strike Power exacta since it's not going to pay much, so that is the one combination not included in the above with those 4 horses. After that I'll probably just play Strike Power to win for $10 if he's near his 4/1 morning line odds, and then maybe play He Takes Charge to place & show for $5/$10. We'll see, though.

Across the board (small) with my old buddy Creaky Cricket here in race 9 at Gulfstream.

Hogy!

At almost 6/1, and he did it by open lengths. Very nice.

Mr Jordan to win & place for me here in race 12 at Gulfstream.

No changes. I'm in.

Shit, Shark. Just saw a 19/1 shot spoiled your exacta. That's rough.

It wasn't much of an exacta he spoiled, T, so I'm okay with that. May have paid about 12/1 or so. Kicking myself a little for not playing Strike Power to place as well as win, which, as you know, that's what I do 99% of the time. Figured if he did finish 2nd it would be to Good Magic, though, and not a longshot, so hindsight and all that. That's okay. Wasn't a terrible day overall, and it is kinda nice to see another longshot take a Derby prep race. It's been happening quite often this year.

@t6p I think there is 3 Derby prep races coming up this next weekend, so whatever little bit I lost on that race yesterday I'll gain back in those races. And then some. And some more.

That’s what I’m talking about Shark!

This could change of course, depending on the tote and what I`m feeling tomorrow. But me early plans are something like this I think;

Gotham - I've got to play that 30/1 horse who's ranked 2nd of course in straight wagers. Maybe across the board with the #8 Nine Route for $6/$10/$10, and then a $1 trifecta box after that with the top 4 horses and hope Nine Route can hit the board to spice it up a bunch.

Tampa Bay - #8 World of Trouble to win and place for maybe $14/$24 if he`s near his morning line, and then key him on top of some $2 trifectas with the other three runners mentioned.

San Felipe - Meh. Maybe a $10 straight exacta with McKinzie over Lombo, and play McKinzie over Bolt d`Oro over Lombo, Kanthaka in a couple of $5 tris. Not much worth playing here really beyond that.

I have to leave in a little bit so I won't be able to watch the races but I tailed on everything. Odds be damned, haha. Looks like you've increased your bets sizes Shark, hope that means you've been killing it. Good luck with your plays today and thanks for sharing as always.

Cheers T. I'm very likely to go with those plays myself since the races all take place within a short span of each other and I don't really want to focus too much on the board. I don't think World of Trouble is getting overbet anyways from what I can gather, so we should be good there. We'll see.

Sorry been lagging hard lately, boys. Been a rough go in boxing last couple weeks and I've been slaking with the ponies since so muh time has been spent on fights plus personal shit that keeps me from crunching numbers. But I'm coming back soon. It will probably take me an hr to crunch the numbers for one race but I'm gonna keep it going. Back to the Sharkey Formula by next week.

Followed on TB and Gotham Let's get it!
