Kentucky Derby...and Beyond?

Whatever. Made $10 profit on the race. Was expecting a lot better show payout than that, though.

I got pulled away and missed the race but I only went w/p/s there. Nice little profit once again!

Gonna play the #10 Classie Quay to place here for $8, then play a pair of $4 exactas with the #9 over both the #10 and #11, as well as a pair of $2 trifectas with the #9 keyed on top over the same two in 2nd and 3rd.

I'm guaranteed around a $40 profit regardless of what happens here, but I'm greedy. Let's crush the last one of the day.

I went place/show on the #10 and boxed exactas and tris with the #9,#10,#11. Let's go!

My heart was pounding there, I thought we were going to get everything. It seems like the updated version of the formula is working very nicely though. Thanks, Shark.

Race 7 (one turn sprint);

1- 394.3
2- 396.0
3- 411.6 Dance On Stage 10/1 *
4- 367.9
5- 413.3 Grand Edge 4/1 **
6- 373.6
7- 402.0
8- 369.6
9- 476.0 Planned Escape 3/1 *****
10- 424.5 One Classie Quay 6/1 ****
11- 420.5 Global Attention 8/1 ***

I actually gave some thoughts to getting even more greedy by keying the #9 on top of the other horses named here in supers. That thought would have paid very nicely. Would have crushed a hi-5 too if the track offered it.

Not sure if you caught my edit last night, T, but I even added one more little factor to it regarding pace.

I did see that. If today's results are any indication, looks like it's a good one.

I'd like to experiment with that factor a little bit more before passing it along to you and Blunt, though. I only added the value of that new addition by x1 today, but struggled between that and x2 it.

Yeah, I probably should have doubled the value of that new addition I made today. If I did Wind of Bosphorus gets enough of a bump to become an option in that one race he finished 2nd in, especially at the long odds he was at. Alex the Dude would have got a bump up the rankings from 3rd to 2nd (finished 2nd). And Dance On Stage would have got a pretty big bump up from 5th ranked to 3rd (also finished 2nd his race).

Going to try race 5 at Delta Downs that's taking place later on today since there should be some good prices available in it;

==========

Race 5;

1- 464.2 Maline 5/1 *
2- 471.9 Pretty Production 5/2 ***
3- 446.0
4- 471.0 Mariah's Galaxy 7/2 **
5- 427.6
6- 480.0 Blessed Song 8/1 ****
7- 442.8
8- 449.6
9- 422.5
10- 444.2
11- 421.8

Sounds good. I’m hoping to play along on that Delta Downs race later too.

I'll probably just take whichever horse goes off longest of those four horses there to win & place, and then try to beat whoever the favourite ends up being by boxing the other three in exactas.

Lots of great betting options in race 6 today at Delta Downs as well (including a highly ranked 20/1 shot), as the numbers say that this is an evenly matched field overall;

==========

Race 6;

1- 430.6
2- 457.2 Carmens Catcher 3/1 *******
3- 435.7 Philly 8/1 **

This Delta Downs track handicapper was touting the #10 horse in race 4 because of two consecutive big jump ups of 11 and 12 on his speed figures (13 career starts and age 7, so he's not a young developing type). Wished I had PP's for this race as I would play definitely against that one at a short price regardless of what it does this race.

Looks like the #1 Maline is going to be the play for me here, as the double and pick 3 will pays say that one should be double digit odds. I like it. Claimed last race and now double jumped off a win. The #8 should be the heavy favourite here, so likely the odd one out of the exacta box.
