Kelvin should cut back down to WW

He's just an undisciplined fatass. Sounds harsh, but unlike most people, Kelvin's career rides on him being disciplined. He's not willing to do what it takes to become champ. Even his coaches/team have said he could make LW if he had discipline when it comes to food

He needs to be serious and do multiple monitored weight cuts to 170 to try to prove to the UFC that he should be allowed to fight WW again. He’s got so many natural gifts, but he’s not shaped right for 185. Not even close.

I think he made it clear what his priorities are... they all end in tos..

UFC wont allow it, they forced him up to MW because he constantly missed weight. Why do fans not get this? Kelvin being at MW is NOT his preference, but he doesnt have a choice in the matter. He blew his chance repeatedly.
Yeah because he smokes weed, goes to taco bell at 2 in the morning eating boatloads of chalupas. You either want to be great or have some great skills and squander them. He's not a MW, he's just good enough to compete there.

What dispensary do you get your weed at?
For his last fight at welterweight (UFC 200), Gastelum made weight right on the dot at 171 lbs, but he still had love handles. Johny Hendricks missed weight and Gastelum still had flabbier love handles than he did.

Gastelum made 171 lbs while carrying at least 18% body fat. That means if he got down to 12% body fat, he could make 156 lbs with a normal water weight cut.

Lol I get what you’re saying but the dude can’t or won’t even make 170.

Kelvin is basically another Johnny Hendricks. Just can't keep the weight off.

I can't help but feel that he's squandering his immense talent, power and ridiculous chin fighting these big ass guys, but what do I know.
well considering that you're one of the greatest fighters ever I would say...a lot.

sorry guys fucked up

They would give him another chance....

Lol Kelvin looked bigger/thicker than Whittaker.(no bigger/size does not mean taller) What makes you think when he shrinks to 170 he will instantly be better? His body at this point has adapted to 185lbs.... he would almost be going backwards again if he dropped back down to 170. People forget Kelvin lost to Neil Magney.. who is a sold top 10 guy at best(but no top 5 or champion material from what we have seen so far). Honestly I think he has done equally as good at 185.

Also physique wise he looked his best better last night as far as a combination of size and being that lean at that weight. He definitely looked thicker than Robert.

he literally cheated multiple times to make MW. no way.

He exists in a limbo where he doesn’t have much success at middleweight but can’t consistently cut down to welterweight. A 175-180lbs would be ideal for him but that can’t happen.
