3 weeks away boys.

We got 6 foot 0 Whittaker vs 5 foot 9 Kelvin Gastelum

General consensus says that Whittaker will outclass Kelvin and possibly finish him. Thing is, Whittaker just went through an absolute war with Yoel Romero and I'm not saying he's on the down slide or anything, but that certainly took a toll on his body / ability to take a shot.

We've seen Stipe Mioicic take bombs from Ngannou and survive, but the next fight get slept with one shot from DC.

Yoel and Kelvin both hit very hard, but I'd say Kelvin has the better boxing.

He has dropped all 6 of his last opponents.

1 - Tim Kennedy (2 times)

2 - Vitor Belfort (2 times)

6 - Israel Adesanya (1 time)

Can't find the KD gif from round 1 but the UFC counted it as a KD

7 Knock downs in his last 5 fights. Granted, some of these guys were able to survive, but the Weidman knockdown was right at the end of the round. We know Whittaker has great recovery, but Kelvin can still KO him clean.

Kelvin also has an iron chin

And pretty good boxing defense (made Weidman hit air here)

We'll see what the fuck happens, but there are some good odds on Kelvin right now if anybody wants to drop a bet

Dead money. Whittaker's gonna break him.

If Kelvin doesnt KO Whittaker in the first 2 rounds then I think Whittaker wins

I think Kelvin gets it done

Gastelum gets taken lightly for reasons that I don't quite understand. He's had some weird performances, but he's really found his stride in recent years.

Huge Whittaker fan, I'm confident in Rob but also very very nervous. Who knows what state his chin is in after the Romero fights.

Rob outclass Kelvin? Who said that? Maybe he's more conditioned and he has a well rounded skill set, but Kelvin is the better boxer and possibly wrestler.

A lot of people are really looking forward to this fight, it's far from a consensus. I personally think Rob's blitzing style plays right into Kelvin's game.

I’m super pumped for this fight. It’s super underrated. Honestly very tough call who wins. Whitaker has been so great but Kelvin is such a slick boxer. Can’t wait!!

All those fighters have been dropped and if you look at droppings their collective records lately are probalby 3-10

Kelvin I always thought as a journeyman fighter but I admit he is on s really nice run. Bobby is just a different level fighter with an iron chin , great cardio, great boxing ....... unless he just had a lot taken out of him from Yoel fights I dont see a way Kelvin wins

Lol i remember when he dropped Weidman and then got Hn’A choked

I can see Gastelum having success in the opening rounds, possibly hurting Whittaker, but the longer the fight goes the better for Robert.
