Injuries and pull outs often cause less than ideal situations. Just because it's common, doesn't change the fact that it happens and it happened on Max's end. I'm not sure what we're even talking about.

And yes, I think the part of Volk's message that Max fans are hyper focused on was just volk trolling max fans. The rest of his message, though, I do believe he's sincere about.

A fighter who rarely gets injured and has a long, historic career of showing up to fight, doesn't cause "a mess" by getting an injury and reporting it months in advance. Its just day in day out stuff for fights.

The only thing of note here is Volk saying something shockingly stupid, accusing Max of a scheme. Its just so moronic at face value it doesn't really need to be unpacked. He's salty about the split decision and that he's not a fan favorite etc, despite beating up Ortega he hasn't finished a fight in years. Its apparently attacking his common sense.

Yeah, we disagree here. I'm not even sure how you can deny that this situation, common or not, is less than ideal and was caused by Max. It is what it is.

Max is not beating Volk. His best bet is to wait for someone to dethrone Volk and be champ again.

I am gonna be totally real here and I am saying this as someone who is a HUGE fan of Volkanovski. i really think max won their second fight man. Even if Volk managed to game the scoring and point fight his way to a decision (which i dont even think he did) Max was dominant in all of the exchanges and kept dropping Volk with brutal significant strikes. Having said that ...... Huge volk fan here.

I also believe that Max did enough to take the second fight. Not a robbery by any means, though. It was a back and forth, tactical battle with Max taking rounds 1 & 2 and Volk taking 4 & 5. The controversy is all about the third round.
Ultimately I believe that a third fight will be another extremely close fight with max being more agressive and Volk being smarter. The champion gets the nod after a war more times than not, you have to finish or soundly beat the champ to take the belt otherwise you will have a sour night.
