Michael Katsidis. This Greek-Australian lightweight is one of the most exciting fighters in pro boxing today. This ferocious, heavyhanded fighter is 23-0 with 20 knock outs and he is fighting the craft veteran Joel Casamayor tonight for the WBO championship.

BTW, sorry if somebody else did a thread of this guy. I searched and didn't find anything.

Here are some clips of him training.

4th round of Katsidis vs Graham Earl. This round was considered round of the year last year and I think it was fight of the year. Watch the whole fight if you have the chance. I thought it was more exciting than even Vasquez vs Marquez II. If you wanna one-up boxing haters who claim that boxing is "boring because its two guys dancing around eachother," show them this fight.

High light of Katsidis.

Just watched him get KTFO. Really good boxer though, he was coming back and it was a flash knockout out of nowhere.

Yeah, like Juan Diaz, he underestimated an old dog and paid dearly for it.

He's the goods though, having your first loss be to the man who beat Diego Corrales isn't anything to be ashamed of.

but katsidis and diaz wanted one another, neither wanted to face the guy they faced; they just had to make the best of a bad situation, neither really had the exp or wherewithal to beat the guy they were facing..

casamayor did look like trash and seemed primed to be rough up and beaten down by the limited and inexperienced; but brutal, aggressive and physically dominant upstart..

i knew nate was gonna run juan's ass over; i predicted that from day one, diaz didn't have the power or durability to face an opp who could fight back on equal terms...nate outworked outclass and beat him up...

an to a large degree casamayor did the same; odd how the whole div is now built around two guys deemed to be past their primes, both just made themselves tops in their div and if not for their spotty performances would be considered top guys in the p4p rankinggs

Oh Juan and Michael can have each other now. It's the ideal fight since both of them lost. Just won't be for the unified belt.

hopefully the next fight will be diaz/katsidis.

who do you like in that fight KK?

Katsidis, he can do everything Juan can do, only bigger and with more power.

KK, who did you have winning the fight going in to the 10th?

i had Katsidis winning the fight up till the KO

real good fight, i liked casamayor's style. big fan of katsidis as well.

I like this guy. He basically ended Graham Earl's career in a barn stormer of a fight but looked vunerable himself in the process. But after the one round demolition job that Amir Khan did on Earl, albeit a damaged version, I'd like to see a fight between the two in the next year. Maybe after a showdown with Thaxton.

Katsidis would kill Amir dead.

any chance Katsidis can learn to use a jab here and there?
