That's a better way to put it. We've totally regressed as a society and our values. Although I did say there should be representation, I still mean the most knowledgeable are likely men. Very few women have high level technical understanding or want it, yet they want to put so many into the sport.

WMMA is fine, but you're putting amateurs in between the pro male fights, there's a wide gap in skills and it's obvious. I don't want the cards to be 50/50 male female unless the WMMA competition pool gets close to the mens. If they eliminated just the amateur looking women, they'd have 5 girls in every division. Which would be like only 5% of fights is wmma.
Based on reading the comments here, I think Paramount is aiming at people who will say “I like her!” and not those who want to say “this was an insightful comment”. So it’s probably not even some DEI thing, it’s pushing further into non-core MMA by focusing on looks, appeal, etc. rather than knowledge.

On the other hand, the inclusion of WMMA bouts on cards feels a lot more like it’s about representation, combined with a legacy failed attempt to create a new market that started in the Ronda days.

Personally, I would watch the very best women who are on par with men in terms of skillset, because they are good. I don’t care if the fighter is from Mars or has four ears, if they are skilled, I’ll watch.
