Karo Parisyan: The excitement is not there anymore, its an every day thing!

Why do things have to change?

Sigh, we’re still using one sentence replies with decade old Internet images, perfect encapsulation of the problem, it’s fans are played out.
Just signaling you have nothing to offer here.

sport has no buzz, tired face in Dana, desperate with the Zuckerbot show,
totally forgettable fighters.
Athletes have never made more money in their sports orgs history, except now in the UFC.
Very telling.

Karo was never motivated to show up in shape so not surprising he's not motivated to watch.

Is normal

This hilariously accurate burn deserves more hespect. Kudos, sir.

No one has ever been completely dominant in men's MMA with judo alone. Christophe Leninger was an Olympic alternate and was destroyed by Ken Shamrock at UFC 3. Later he had a much more competitive fight with Guy Mezger (including a beautiful throw) but still lost.

I got a black belt from Christophe, great guy.

Granted he was way his competitive prime by the Ken fight.

No disrespect to him. I like judo. Just pointing out that while judo can be a good base (and has great throws/trips/etc.), no one in men's MMA has ever been able to dominate with a simple judo TD/arm-bar like Rousey did for a while in WMMA. Ken was 4 years younger, more cross-trained, heavier/stronger and had a solid enough wrestling/grappling background to deal with him.

I brought Christophe up more out of respect/recognition, because everyone here seems to think Karo was the guy who first brought judo to the cage. Christophe's fight with Mezger kind of foreshadowed Karo's fights with GSP, Diego, Sherk, etc....Karo's judo was a great asset, but if your opponent is well cross-trained, strong and has a good wrestling base, it's not enough to reach the elite level without other skills.

An Olympic Silver medalist was a big MMA fail. So much for "using an opponents size and strength against them" like Ronda still says Judo does.
