I am going to try training in MMA very very soon. One style I really would like to imploy is that super explosive, Karate blitz, which covers distance, VERY fast, sometimes before the opponent can even react.
Fedor did something VERY similar to Brett Rogers, Where it even looked like Brett was throwing a strike first, Fedor saw the slight twitch of Bretts left pec, and just exploded on him fast.

Another really good example is Whittaker on that fast, explosive, blitz sprint he landed on Hall with a short right hand. Shame no one made a GIF of it and youtube deleted all the videos of the fight like bitches.
But he lands it in the first round, and although it didnt KO Hall it stunned him. Whittaker is Very Explosive.

^This video is the perfect example also

I feel if Whittaker had larger more powerful glutes or hamstrings, He could had put way more power into it.
I think this is the perfect way to beat, taller, bigger, opponents.

you overthink things too much. you're going to get ko'd in the first round kid. Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face - kenny florian

First grasp basics before you go theorizing without ever training in striking arts. Not saying it wouldn't work, but you should rather think about basic footwork, stance and a solid jab first.

Do you devote much of your time to thinking about Whittaker's glutes?

And be an average, ploddy fighter who gets frusterated, against taller, longer fighters? No thanks. I need to do something to stand out or its over.

Jup, basically every beginner is just that.

You need to learn how to crawl before you can walk. Those "average" fighters would crush you into puddy if youre untrained.

Lol Vitor's was amazing but also a lot different. Im speaking about covering distance in very explosive and fast, with a powerful bomb or two.

He covered distance because he was wearing shoes.

That's the secret.

Karatekas in Okinawa and Japan move like that?

If you’re serious about training start thinking defense, learn how to defend first before you go planning how you’re going to ko someone. Every beginner starts with learning how to stand how to move and how to avoid the oppositions offense.

UFC 235 was the night of wrestlers - Jon Jones, Usman and best of all, Funky.

Some thought young Vitor was doing Wing Chun chain punching, especially in the Wand fight. Fedor has never done anything like that, though.

Fedor had a lot of explosive, in and our movement.

I'd like to see that version of Vitor against some current MWs and LHWs. That wouldn't work on everybody, but he'd definitely be knocking some fools out.

Bro trt vitor was exactly that.. lol ... he was a second away from beating jones

It won't work for you. The reason it's exciting to you is because you made n00b assumptions out of the ignorance of not having any experience. It doesn't really work like that IRL unless your opponent is timid and inexperienced as well (in which case anything would work). Trying this on someone who isn't your little brother is going to get you splattered because there are some very basic details you are overlooking.

Don't take my word for it, go ahead and try it in sparring. First and last time you try that.
