Media Kamaru Usman wants to become champion at 170 & 185 lbs in next two fights and then retire

The mindset of modern champions compared to those from the past era is something. I know Usman racked up the title defenses already but before they even think of defending they want to move up. And when Usman was reigning he wasn't going to fight Izzy so the prospect of moving up wasn't there for him back then.

Why are you using Usman as an example though? He has already had a dominant run, and he is also from a "past era".
