I'm sorry, but if you want to illustrate oppression in America, you can't belong to the 1%. All these self righteous celebs who are perfect illustrations of how blacks aren't oppressed in America try to shit on the country that made them rich because its become a fad.

Ridiculous.

Tell me why?

The USA is so racist and oppresses 'PoC' so horribly, 'PoC' from around the world constantly migrate there.

WEhere black men are far to often shot by overheated police....

LOL

You mean where black men are overwhelmingly shot by overheated BLACK MEN in the streets.

and Black men shot without cause by the police is an almost neglegent number.

He sucks anyway, and if few people wanted to buy his jerseys before, even less want to now.

Numbers mother fucker, look at them....

Apparenlty Kn is to fuckin stupid to do any real research.

The best thing to do with things like this is to not give it any attention, or the effort of any type of outrage.

On a field full of "oppressed" black millionaires. Ironically, he was adopted by white people because his oppressed black dad knocked up a broke 19 year old and moved on, which is the main thing that later leads to gang, drugs, and other criminal behavior, I mean oppression.

There you have it folks. If you're rich, you cannot make a stand against racism for it obviously does not exist, for you as a rich person is evidence that racism does not exist.

Though I think you are addressing the OP's comments, I think the majority of the outrage is that patriotism and racism somehow have to coincide with each other. In this example, if racism is occurring in a country, then patriotism for the country passes over to supporting racism.

In the end, I don't care about the money he makes but I would rather have our athletes not make political statements during the game. Hard to say if it's right though to force him to stand during the anthem as some type of requirement. Not sure what stance to really take on this other than I wish it wasn't news.

Maybe if he changed his name to Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf people would be cool with it

This is the NFL which forces in political crap at every turn, be it the national anthem, saluting the troops, everyone wearing pink, telling us to stop beating our wives, and having Bob Costas cry about gun violence.

I don't agree with Kaepernick's point of view, but if he wants to make a political point he has every right to. Likewise, I think the national anthem is dumb and creepy/brainwashy like athletes praising Supreme Leader in North Korea.

What do they have to do with each other.

Nothing.
If blacks were oppressed he wouldn't be a gajillionaire. Same with Jesse Williams.

There are poor people of every race. Oppression is not the cause, poor life choices are. And he was rescued from poor life choices his parents made so maybe he should show some gratitude.

He also shit on the graves of dead soldiers by not standing for the anthem.

What's the point of standing for na anywAys?

If you pay your taxes, you do nuff already. This obsession with pledging some sort of "allegiance" by standing n saluting the flag is borderline fascism.

Yeah it's like religious fanaticism.

Kaepernick sucks and is a moron, but he has every right to burn the flag, flip off our troops or whatever act of protest he wants to perform. In this country, we have the right to say or do a lot of stupid things without fear of government crackdown. In fact, these freedoms are so amazing, it almost makes you want to stand up, place your hand over your heart and pay respect to such great freedoms during the national anthem.
