All of these words were in my brain too. Kudos good sir.For sure - dustin and charles deserve it (if khabib is gone)
Chandler needs to be someone he can't just bum rush and swarm (someone who can hurt him back with their punches) and if he can get past Justin then I think he's proven himself.
And RDA has looked not like the monster who tore through 155 years ago (that was like 2014-2016 ish) and well conor is on the downslide and this would be a good measuring stick for what both guys have left.
All good match upsCharles vs Dustin for the title
Chandler vs Justin for #1 contender
RDA vs Conor
Expect to have UFC to continue to fuck you around. It's what they do when you refuse to re-sign a contract with 1 fight left.
- Wants 12 weeks to prepare for a fight, UFC always tries to cut him short
- Has 1 fight left on his deal
- UFC called him about the chandler fight, 8 weeks out
All on same card, add Ferg vs IslamCharles vs Dustin for the title
Chandler vs Justin for #1 contender
RDA vs Conor
By the way he sounds so mellow in his interviews, I don't doubt it. lolThat was a great interview. He said that he would out smoke Nate Diaz.
That is one way to do it - stack the cardAll on same card, add Ferg vs Islam
He thinks guys just didn't fight him smart and he was the first one that fought tony smart.Gaethje telling it like it is. Disagree with him on Tony not being a top LW though, you don't ride a 12 fight win streak in the deepest division on accident.
- Happy to see Conor get knocked out "Seeing a piece of shit get put down. I loved it.'
- Conor is all Mr. Humble now, but would have been an asshole if he won
- Would considering retiring if Conor got to fight for the title in an immediate rematch against poirier because Conor picks and chooses; Not a real contender.
- Excited to fight Dustin Poirier because Poirier is the Best Lightweight if Khabib is retired
- Wants 12 weeks to prepare for a fight, UFC always tries to cut him short
- Has 1 fight left on his deal
- UFC called him about the chandler fight, 8 weeks out
- Never wants to go back to fight in Abu-Dhabi ever again unless its for a world title
- Hooker look like shit, He looked like he was in abudhabi fighting at 7am. Chandler did what he had to do.
- Chandler is a formidable opponent now. Before, he wasn't but now that he has something to offer, he is.
- Jokes that Diego Sanchez should fight conor now. Might whip his ass because conor's a bitch.
- Said UFC didn't call him to fight Nate Diaz but if they did he'll fight Nate Diaz.
- On fighting Diaz: "I'll roll him up and smoke him like a blunt"
- Open to fighting anyone in the top 3 to get a chance to fight for the title (or nate diaz)
- Oliveira is the toughest match up in the division.
- Oliveira doesn't like to be hit, I hit like a mack truck.
- Khabib did something special, but there's no one[else] on planet earth that can take him down
- Khabib took shots that no one's taking thus far.
- Fans not being there helped him focused internally on Tony
- On Thoughts on Tony: Doesn't think he's an elite LW, but doesn't think he ever was. His skills were really effective in the way people were fighting him. Mentions other fighters before him wanting to fight tony in the chaos and not create space and that space was always there but no one took advantage of it before him.
- Not concerned at all that nate could possibly get a title shot : 'Dana's a businessmen but he's not fucking crazy'
On the experience of fighting Khabib Nurmagomedov:
- He's very strong
- Has a great ability to take shots. Has a great poker face. Knows his shots hurt him but khabib acted like it didn't hurt him
- Has a great jab and its so effective because of his level changes.
- I'm not sure anyone under 185lbs or in the UFC can beat that man.
- I needed to make him 4 more mins to make him go back to his corner. His leg was hurting real bad.
- He's not going to let the loss affect his performance in the future. Not the first time he's lost. Won't be the last.
- He didn't leave a piece of them in there, didn't take damage.
- Mother Gaethje has not yet retired and waiting on the Post office offering her an early retirement package.
KO'd? Don't you mean leg problems after Dustin cheated by throwing those kicks he didn't warn him to train for?
