Just cracked the top 15, last spot at #15.

I feel like he just getting started. Next fight he prob. gets a top 10 opponent and manages to establish himself as a top 10.

His last fight was a banger, VS. Chase Sherman, who showed an unbelievable chin, eating bomb after bomb.

VS Sherman, Willis showed: he lacks stamina.

And needs to smell blood in the octagon, he had Sherman wobbly like in two different occasions and never went in for the final kill.

Willis on UFC: “I’m not happy to be here. I’m not happy to be part of this shit,” explains Willis. “I am here to literally take this shit over. Point. Blank. Period. I want to fight three times this year. The third fight will either be a title shot or a #1 contender fight– I want to do the proper set process. I don’t want to do that Conor McGregor shit– the fake shit where you’re running from people later on.”

How far can he get? He would demolish Arlovski who is ranked #9 atm

Willis went for the kill in round one. It was part of the reason he gassed so badly

Well, he was an NCAA Division I football player. According to Sherdog, he's almost an "A Level Athlete" being just shy of a Pro Football player, so he should "be dominating with only 6 months of training."

Maybe 8-10 months since he didn't make it to pro level making him an A- or B level athlete, but still miles above the D level athletes in MMA.

Right?

He could lose some fat and hit the treadmill.

Edit: I don’t mean that as a general thing like everyone else here, I mean it as in he’s got fast hands for a hw, he trains at aka so I’m confident his wrestling will come along. He just need to get his cardio better.

naaa hes one bad mother fucker

Incredible hand speed for a heavyweight, he's very explosive but i think his grappling is probably his weakneess, he looked awful trying to get some finishing-GNP, cardio needs improvements as you said. I'd match him against Shamil Abdurakhimov, Arlovski is fighting Tuivasa.

He can really punch but the skills aren't quite there yet or the cardio

He needs time in the gym but at HW a couple wins and they throw you in there with the big dogs so I'm not sure he'll get it

In Willis' defense, he got tired from hitting Sherman so much. A lot of other guys would have went down from a couple of the shots chase was caught with. I can't remember any of his other fights though so I'm not qualified to say if he's a gasser or not.

I like Big Pretty. I think a lot of guys would have been KOed in round 1. Sherman is a tough SOB.

I like him, but at the same time I'm not sold on his potential.

So far, what has he done in the UFC?

1) Lumbered to a boring decision against a one-dimensional English brawler.
2) TKO'd a bottom-level UFC HW
3) Failed to finish a guy who's been KO'd a couple times in the recent past, and has terrible striking defense, despite teeing off for ages on him.

I reckon Shamil Abdurahimov would be a decent step-up for him, both just beat Sherman. Shamil is a wily veteran who'll offer a different type of challenge.
