Dariush didn't fear Oliveira's Bjj as much as islam, that's why. He also shut down Charles leg entries better than Islam did. Islam exposed his back to escape one of Charles leg attacks, which allowed Charles to get the body lock and come up from behind. Islam was tighter, I already agreed, but the end result of Charles being offensive enough to get back to his feet was the same with both guys.
Will have to agree to disagree. You can think what you want.
At the end of the day (in my opinion), Dariush was sloppy, was pulling backward a lot — while Islam was cleaner, and moving forward and in to Oliveira, especially in the grappling.
Dariush appeared unnerved, and lost, and gave Oliveira too much space.
Islam appeared focused, and purposeful, giving Oliveira little room to breathe.
That's my take, and I am sticking to it.
