His legs are wide open, doesnt squeeze his legs. He also didnt control Sage's wrist to angle to elbow. He had 10 seconds to do this.

He may be high level in Spain where MMA is unknown, but I dont even know if he'd get a blue belt here in America

Fight looked fishy as fuck. When ever sage was in trouble two times atleast Marin just slows down or releases sage...

Arm bar is the best example. There was something else but I was too drunk and stoned to remember.

He wasn't able to perform at his best because he was mesmerised by Sage's greatness.

I forgive him. He didn't wanna finish the fight because he wanted to stick his head in Sage's crotch in the third round. Wanted to sniff and suck.

You're right, his hips were not existent, he didn't extend his legs, he didn't rotate the head away from the arm with his legs and he didn't squeeze.

It was a very poor Armbarr and Sage is extremely lucky that it was so poor.

Good on Sage though he got the W.

Thank you. People on here were talking about Sage's heart like he was in a tight submission. I'm not usually one to dog on a fighter's performance but Marin looked terrible. The armbar was ugly. Also, who JUMPS to get someone's back only to fly comepletely over their opponent??

The kimura attempt after the armbar was sloppy too. As was his back take attempt. Sage tripods up and Marin still tries to take the back and slides right over the top.

There was something fishy about the Barbena fight, too. After he tapped, he looked at the ref--almost pleading, like WTF?

ill have to re watch all pre lims tonight just because i was in another realm yesterday. but yeah, its instances like that which made feel o_O

I hated the whole fight, had Sage losing via sub with +750 line. It was so frustrating to watch, both of them looked like amateurs.

And to think that Sage was the biggest favorite on the whole card.. Dat power of hype machine..

dont forget the fishy standup against pfister.

The ground work was amusing on both sides.

I don't think it's fishy. It was just a gimme fight for Sage. Sage had some weird moments too. The dude is fucking jacked yet repeatedly fell right to his back from relatively weak wrestling shots from Marin. He wasn't pulling guard either: He'd resist the takedown, try to sprawl and Marin would run right through him.

They both just didn't look good. People see flashes of Sage looking good and think hes somehow elite already. He's not, not even close, and you can bet any matchups they give him at this point in his career will be even worse.
