If McGregor fights Nate the way he fought Max, he could win a decision. He didn't over-exert himself. He got in and got out. He used his kicks to control distance, not to look for a highlight reel KO. I even think he could mix some quick takedowns in to disrupt Nate's timing. He's not totally inept on the ground. He controlled Holloway on the ground. Mounted him.
Most importantly though, in his post fight interviews after the Brimmage and Holloway fights, he was clear that he didn't plan how the fight would go, that he just took what was available. I think if he gets back to that and stops loading up, he can outpoint Diaz for at least three rounds.
I know Max Holloway is no Nate Diaz, but Conor had a clear speed advantage over Nate.
My money is still on Nate though.
