Tbf, that got him to the top of WWE despite the fact there's nothing exceptional about him. If he just were a nice, humble guy to go with his Average Joe look then he wouldnt have even made it into the company.

Can't fake or compensate in this business though. Also, I dont think his appearances really did anything for buyrates & I dare say they massively regret signing him. He's not a star - outside of the WWF he's a nobody with a deluded sense of his own importance/ability.

He is basically the average hobbyist (with little athletic talent) thrown in against a professional. Gall is by no means a great fighter, but he has sound skills....same as Michael Jackson.

CM Punk could probably beat a lot of average joes in a street environment, to someone who's untrained he should be able to get them down and control them on the ground. His striking looked terrible though, his stance looked green right off the bat...hunched over, heavy on the feet, slow and plodding footwork.
