just got a keiko raca gi...question

ok so i am like 5 foot 9, and i weigh like around 150. I got a black size a2 keiko raca....

according to me hearing they shrink a lot, and the size chart..it seems fine...however when i tried it on its pretty big on me. and what threw me off is, it has a label and it says PRE SHRUNK....

so are only the old ones the ones that shrink? will i be able to shrink this one? or should i go with the a1?

damn, i was looking forward to training in it....but right now the skirts a good 3 or so inches longer then my koral a2s, and the sleeves are maybe 2 inches longer....

so what should i do? get an a1? or will this one shrink even though it says preshrunk...i dont want to try to shrink it and then not be able to return it.

I just bought the a2 black kieko gi a week or two ago and i washed it before i wore it to NAGA and it did shrink a bit. Before when i had my arms at my sides the sleeves would go down to the ball joint of my thumb now after i washed them and put them in the drier the sleeves end 1.5 inches before my wrist. it says to wash it with some salt to prevent color fading

ryan, would you say it shrunk a few inches in the skirt as well? the skirt is ridiculously long...it looks like a bad judo cut...wow im upset.

anyway, would you mind telling me your height/weight, and how it fits after a few washes compared to how it was before?

according to their size chart, no

A1 = 5'3'' - 5'8''ft and 110 - 140lbs
A2 = 5'7'' - 6'0''ft and 141 - 176lbs

I am like right in the middle, moreso in the A2 category....however i went with A2 cuz i heard they shrunk a lot, so i thought it would be a nice fit after it shrunk...

however, i see on the label it now says preshrunk....now if it doesnt shrink at all after i wash it then im fucked....

i dunno... my a2 gi's are pretty big on me also. The skirt cut is what bothers me the most. Who knows if those charts are accurate, but I should've went for a1

I'm 5'6 145lbs...Then again my gis arent preshrunk and have shrunk a fair bit.. but nothing major.. The pants are perfect though.

I own a SSF comp gi and a Gameness single. Gameness single fits perfectly but my SSF gi is a bit long but it doesnt bother me

the point of buying something preshrunk is so you dont have to worry about shrinking it yourself if you dont know what your doing so it will still shrink if you wash it to shrink... but im a man who likes to call companies usually and play it safe
