Anyone a stat freak?

I'm wondering what percentage of short-notice fighters have won their bouts in the UFC....

The answer has implications in regards to the strength of having a full camp.

Swiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing and a miss.

The 3 big ones off the top of my head are Jones over Shogun. Bisping over Rockhold and obviously Nate over Conor.

I think Frankie might have been short notice in his first fight against Tyson Griffin.

Oh and Anderson over Bonnar and Irving

It's an interesting question and if I had to bet I'd say it's probably around 60/40 in favor of the full camp fighter

0 for 1 with Anderson Silva against Cormier

That'd be about my guess as well. But without the whole broken down, it's just theory. For all I know, the fighter stepping in has the edge(doubtful, I know).

True. Did you look on the UFC's site?

Joe Lauzon vs Jens Pulver comes to mind

I googled the question first, but no, I'm too lazy to skim through the bullshit on UFC's site. Figured one of my fellow fight-nerds might know.

diaz beat conor on two weeks notice while he was drinking coronas in tijuana

i think that answers your question

Ortega over Frankie.

In a lot of ways it seems to benefit guys that are fresh, not mentally worn down from a camp or pressured, and can flow better.

This is why I wonder.
