I am incredibly skeptical that those idiots believed this was anything but a hoax. Anyone with half a brain should have had huge doubts about Smollett's story.
Anyone supporting any of the above politicians' presidential aspirations should be very concerned - because they're either gullible idiots or they're intentional and dishonest inciters of racial discontent.

I just don't know if a Bernie Sanders (77 years old) will go to Twitter in order to write about "eradicating bigotry and violence". He might, but it sounds a bit silly. I don’t know what the cable news channels are doing but it wasn’t getting much coverage in the newspapers and websites I frequent. I didn’t realize so many high profile politicians had said something. It’s a tweet though. They all said racism and homophobia are bad. They come out of this looking pretty stupid, but it’s because some dumbass staged this entire thing for his own benefit. Hard to really hold that against them, especially the ones who have since made another statement condemning what Jussie did. His name still cracks me up.

Believe it or not but most politicians (outside of Trump) have a staff writing all of their stuff, even for social media accounts.

Trump is pretty much the only guy I trust, to actually write his own stuff. And even then he sometimes has stuff written for him, although it is relatively rare.
