JURASSIC WORLD v.2 (Dragonlord's Review)

Don't remember that scene at all. Basically I'm just saying with a bit of luck and the kids prior knowledge I was willing to accept it. I think the mercenaries were killed more by the womens yelling and the fact that they were on the outside of the island with all the big dinosaurs. I'd accept that kid surviving before I would accept the story I just linked you to I know that for sure.

I guess I could see it. As far as believable skills go I think the kids in JW being able to fix the car was the most convincing, especially since it was a Jeep. Lex being able to navigate a state of the art computer system without any prior experience with it and the fucking gymnastics from The Lost World were pretty out there.

Eh, I guess. The whole smoke grenade part was a little ballsy for a kid don't you think? Especially considering the other mercenary got offed by the raptors easily and yet this kid was more than prepared.

That was a great part. If you can get past how cliched their dynamic could be, and I wouldn't blame someone if they couldn't, they were actually pretty fun to watch on screen together.

Agreed. I enjoyed their dynamic but I can understand someone not.

What did you guys think of the final battle? Too over the top or just enough? Personally I loved it but I wouldn't be surprised i I'm in the minority because things started to get a little ridiculous towards the end. When it was done the whole theater erupted into applause and I joined in.

As a fan of BDH and bob cuts I loved every minute of it. Her whole design was perfect, easily her hottest role.

I could see how some might feel it detracts from the film but at least it wasn't as bad as Megan Fox in Transformers 1&2 or Scarlet Johansson in Iron Man 2. At least BDH has the acting to make it work out well enough.

Oh, she looked great. But it just felt like she was running around with her shirt open, sweaty chest, and heels half the movie. Maybe it's just that the other JP movies didn't have any of that.

Bob cuts are a good look on certain girls. Lilly has that look going in Ant - man. They look good

I thought it was pretty well done, the only gripe i had was blue jumping back and forth between the rex's on their backs.

haha, you idiot.

What kind of tard walks out of a theater? You should've known what you were in for going into it. No one is impressed with your shit hole attempt at pretentiousness.

Taking me not liking the dinosaur movie kinda personal arent you?

Watched it yesterday, the characters felt more like cartoons than actual people. That's my main complaint.

Pretty much my take as well. For me to have any suspense:

1. I needed to side with the kids along their journey(I didnt)

2. I needed the characters to react like actual humans(they didnt)

I liked everything except the mosasaur bit - I mean the thing would just be sitting there in the water waiting to pop up and grab something huge from land? And it's not like a croc - that think would have needed to dive deep and get a head of steam rather than just being under the surface waiting to pounce.

But I loved Claire with the flare getting Rexy, running in heels and staying ahead of it yo throw the flare at I-Rex to start the rumble. I-Rex was rightfully smoking T-Rex as well, as T-Rex is 22-23 yrs old and it's believed that they probably only lived to be 25ish anyways, so T-Rex is an old timer here anyways so just showing up was supremely bad ass on her part. Than Blue's like fuck this shit, he killed my bro's I'm getting me some, to even the odds a bit for T-Rex.

Just needed a better way to introduce the Mosasaur.

I thought Pratt played it perfectly to her "I'm ready" scene. Like so you tied your jacket up and ripped up some of your clothes? That was completely ridiculous and served no purpose...but it was kinda hot. Pretty much what I was thinking too.

She survived the entire film wearing a skirt and heels.

I understand the entire concept of the film is farfetched in nature, but FFS guys.

Did it ever say in the movie it was the same rex as in the first one?

Watched the movie last night and thought it was pretty good
Better than crapfest that the trailer made it appear

But what the fuck is up with their 1942 cellphone technology?
You spend a million billion trillion dollars on dinosaurs cant you put a fuckin cellphone tower anywhere on that island so I can get a gulldamn signal?

Pretty much.

Pratt was bland as a "lead", BDH was just flat out unlikable, and the kids were essentially mini Macgyvers (which was laughable).

I agree. Perhaps the scene would've been better if they did use a giant super croc instead of a mosasaur?

They never explicitly state that in the film but in the movie's website made to look like the park's actual website it states the T-rex attraction as being a part of Jurassic World for 22 years. She also had the scars on her neck from where the raptors attacked her at the end of the first one.

As someone who has done testing with RF i can tell you its far more complicated than that.

Scenes of 'lack of cellphone reception' made logical sense.

It was fun! I posted this earlier, but my eight year old jumped out her seat with yelling with excitement at the conclusion. She's a dinosaur nut (whose kid isn't) and when I asked her what part she liked best, she replied with "All the parts!".

Yes it was a little ridiculous, but seeing my kid so excited made me look past all that. I really enjoyed some of the original Jurassic Park easter eggs because that first movie was my first real CGI experience and it blew me out of my seat back then and it was cool to relive some of that.

And on that note... here's to nostalgia

Ok got it. I mean it makes sense, i was just thought i missed something when i went to the bathroom or something lol.

Was anyone else a little disappointed by indominus rex? He barely beat a way passed his prime t rex. I feel like if you just blew a raptor up to even half the size of a t rex it would murk both those large dinos back to back.

The I Rex was smoking that T Rex until Blue caught her off guard, and even then she'd likely still piece them up.

Well, if she had minded her surroundings.

Batman Begins 101.

More complicated than cloning dinosaurs?
If they can do one Im pretty sure they can figure out the other
