Jurassic World had an interesting premise (a park that had been running incident-free for ten years) but wound up being one big CGI shitfest.

That being said, my body is ready for more Goldblum.

The first one is amazing and definitely from an impact perspective it was much more important for the time but I just enjoyed world alittle more. Maybe it's cause I like Chris Pratt so much or that the old Trex showed up and put that new hybrid piece of shit in his place haha it was a lot of fun.


Now that I think about it the first probably was a tiny bit better but let me just change my opinion to "I really loved both of them" instead

JURASSIC WORLD 2 Announced for 2018 with Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard Returning

Universal has announced that a sequel to Jurassic World will be released on Friday, June 22, 2018. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will return to star. Jurassic World helmer Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, who did a rewrite on World, will write the script for the sequel.

Steven Spielberg will return to executive produce and Frank Marshall to produce. Trevorrow, who is not expected to return to direct, will also be an executive producer on the Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment sequel. The film currently has the 2018 date to itself.

Jurassic World, which opened in theaters in June, has been one of the biggest successes in the history of Universal. It is now the No. 3 domestic release of all time with $614.3 million, and the No. 3 worldwide release of all time. It's broken a slew of records, and has earned $1.5 billion worldwide to date.

They've already bastardized it. Unfortunately, each one has gotten progressively worse and worse. Jurassic Park has never gotten the sequel it deserved.

I definitely agree that JP has never gotten the sequel is deserved, but I disagree that they've gotten progressively worse.

Jurassic World is better than JPIII by a fair margin and probably better than The Lost World as well.

Lost World could've been great and it was fairly entertaining. JW had a good premise (people get bored quickly so they needed to sup' up a dinosaur to keep people interested)

But JP was just so good that they it would be hard to capture that magic again. That being said, there has been a lot of times in the movies since JP that suggest directors and writers are not even trying to please the original fans.
