Media Junior Dos Santos implies the man who was knocked out 4x in a row wasn't the real Junior

And then came USADA and Mr Velasquez.

Why none of the boxers step into the octagon? Because they know they would get wrecked. It just so happens that boxing promotions pay more, so boxers can always use that as an excuse. And they do. And they are right.

Only way to avoid this embarrassment, is for UFC to start paying their fighters more than boxing promotions do. Then we can have Francis Ngannou calling out Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury to a real fight for the real money. I guarantee you that all of those boxers would keep their mouth shut and none of them will ever step foot in the octagon.

But yeah. It aint happening.

The madman training Velasquez did for the JDS fights pretty much destroyed his own body so that trilogy cost him his own career as well.

"This is gonna be the fight for everybody to see who's the real Junior right now.. because everybody is thinking about me from my last fights in the UFC... but that's not me! That's not 'my reality'... that's not uhhh... who I am... uhhh for real."

jds hasn't been the real jds since he divorced his ugly wife

He will do better than Mir.

But that is not saying much.

Would like to see a miracle for JDS against Pulev. The UFC did him dirty at the end of his career.
Junior was on a pretty bad skid at the end of his career but when you look the people he lost to.. damn UFC did him no favors:

Ngannou
Blaydes
Jairzinho
Gane

He looked bad in those but those were all top guys.

On the other hand the UFC lets Arlovski stick around by feeding him cans and setting him up for a loss from time to time.

It amazes me how little scrutiny the UFC gets for the way that they matchmake past-prime former elite level fighters.

They set them up to lose over and over again until they're physically incapable of being an attraction for any other promotion and then push them out the door.

Also, this Pulev fight is just as scummy from Triller. I can't believe that this is even being sanctioned.
That's literally been the fight game forever. Old lions are fed to young lions. Like a passing of the torch. JDS ate older lions during his come up. He read only right that he gotten eaten eventually himself.

Keep in mind AA is supposed to LOSE all those fights. He just finds ways to win. So they don't let AA stick around. AA fights, wins and keeps his spot. Hell iirc he just renegotiated his contract not that long ago for less money.

They also asked him to fight just 4 weeks after losing to Gane, probably to justify cutting him. Yet another example that being a good company man will still get you screwed at the end.

It’s just a fighters mentality. That competitive urge is a powerful tool of denial.

I can't remember Junior picking fights or being hard to deal with. I would not be surprised if the last fight after Gane was the only one he rejected.

that's a little dishonest.
what he is trying to say is that he is more than the fighter who lost his last 4 fights. Which is what most remember and indeed he is (more).
he was a great champion and had a heart of gold who took ungodly punishment from Cain and tried to stay until his body couldn't take any more.

Most people say this: You are your last fight. So he is merely saying he is more than that.

Yeah, just looking at who he took in his last 4 fights, certainly doesn't look like he was picky.

yep there we have it!

JDS with hair > bald JDS
Shane Carwin with hair > bald Carwin
Conor with hair > bald Conor
Vitor with mullet > bald Vitor

Shaving your hair makes you 50% less bro which makes you 50% less of a fighter.

Fedor, GSP, Silva, DJ, Jones.
All the goats had their hair shaved most of their career.
The ones you names tried to copycat to find greatness again but it was too late.

Blame delusional fans wanting to see these "past-prime" fighters fight "in-prime" fighters and thinking "past-prime" fighters are going to win.
