Two shows in two weeks! And yes I pretty much didn't like much about either!
A couple of good fights and a couple is being generous! Love the production of dynamite, but hated the kick boxing element!

The atmosphere for Bellator shows are terrible

I watched a ton of MMA over the past two weeks and this is how I ranked them
Week 1
I seriously enjoyed
1. WSOF
2. EFN
3. RFA
4. Bellator

Week 2
1. Legacy
2. Jungle Fight
3. Shooto Brazil
4. Victory
5. Bellator

There is some fighters in Bellator I enjoy watching and there has been a few good fights.
I'm just not a big fan of their matchmaking and there has been a few fights I have questioned. I used to watch pro wrestling when I was younger and I could swear I was watching "works" lol. I also have heard lots of shady things about Bellator. I know they don't have a whole lot to play with considering the landscape of things. I think they could do much better job though, and I feel lot of their ideas is outdated in 2016. I want Bellator to be around, I want all promotions to be around so the fighters have a place to work.

I'm not wishing death to Bellator or anything. I just hope it gets better because I don't know how much more Ken Shamrock works I can take :p lol

Yeah like he said, the match making is a huge reason why Bellator is crap these days. They only really do cannon fodder squashes, the competitive match ups they do are either title fights or no namers.

Dynamite did over 11k fans and was Bellator 3rd or 4th million dollars gate of the year so far. I think they're fine, only one of those events had Kimbo and shamrock.

Someone brought up wrestling, just remember wcw never did a million dollar gate. Facts

Calm down, business is good.

I liked the old bellator a lot with the tourney system... I still have hope for cokers bellator, I see the good intentions, I like how they are willing to try new things.. They just seem to be really mishandling their talent. Still waiting to see how the brand grows from here

I'm repeating comments from before but I enjoy it still. I've been DVRing and starting an hour late as of late as there is usually some skippable stuff. But moments like Koreshkov vs Bendo, Chandler vs Pitbull, Mo vs Davis, Caldwell vs Warren, Pitbull vs Strauss, and yes even Kimbo vs Dada are still awesome to me. If you arent likely Bellator right now just stop watching full events live and start picking the fights that interest you and if you hear a buzz about something go check it out after. I will always love not needing to go to a sports bar to check out good fights and being able to afford to enjoy them from the comfort of my couch

ive been down on bellator too but the last event was good despite the lackluster main event, the chandler knockout was brutal, the mitrione fight was fun and that schilling hisaki kickboxing fight was balls to the wall. c'mon lets be impartial here, just because bellator has been sucking it up lately is no reason to deny yourself some good fights like the chandler fight. regardless of promotion you can still enjoy individual fights.

last couple shows have been pretty weak, no denying that.

I'm watching some, but it's not as good as I hoped when they cut back to 16 events.

I'm feeling like maybe part of the issue is that Bellator is supporting almost as many divisions as the UFC (9 vs 10), but they only have 16 events to the UFC's 50-60.
Maybe you just can't have sufficiently deep divisions, featuring title matches, matches impacting who the next contender will be, and development of new talent matches for 9 divisions in 16 events.

They definitely been struggling with quality in the Coker-era unfortunately.

Bjorn and his team put on double the cards per year and even the average weekly Bellator card was as good in quality as most of what Coker has put on. Too bad WSOF is so dull, mismanaged(and could be in UFC's control at any time if not already) to make any splash. They seem more interested in prospects and getting relevant fighters.

I've noticed that everything of interest in Bellator are guys from Bjorn's era that probably would have never been hired if Cokertor came sooner. Especially those Russians who Coker can't be bothered with if they never fought in PRIDE or weren't grandfathered in by virtue of holding a belt. Coker and his team big splashes are a dead guy, a guy who almost died, and a bunch of fighters who aren't expected to debut as pros until after Bellator is cancelled.

MEXICO!!

yeah i can see this, its harder to build up true legit contenders. the belts are pretty much a joke at this point with disputed decisions and champs leaving too so that on top of the challenge of building up a contender makes it tough to take seriously

they have the tentpole shows and the regular shows but maybe they can add more shows by having something similar to the strikeforce challenger cards..maybe put it on another station like back on mtv2 or another viacom channel to spread viewership and hopefully have it cross over...

or they could just start from scratch , get rid of the goofy bellator name and rebrand and focus more on professionalism and hopefully ppl will forget all the ridiculousness of guys almost dying in the cage and old men getting hit in the balls.

I feel like it's become to norm to hate on bellator. They have made some shitty decisions don't get me wrong, but the dynamite card was solid all around imo. I understand that kb isn't a lot of people's cup of tea, but most all fights were good in their last card. Chandler. Mittrione, Denise, Kato. The only stinker was rampage(go figure)

The event before the last was a bit dull tho I'm not going to lie

Link to the million dollar gate for dynamite 2?

It's the fact that they are going for a Pride vibe, and it looks so much worse even 10 years later. The interviews are COMPLETELY fake.. Not 'wink' fake, but, "If you don't see how cringeworthy and fake this interview is, you are a moron" fake. They hype fights that are horrible, and try to manipulate reality the way the UFC did in the beginning.. NOT WORKING. The UFC got away with the altering reality in their favor bit because people were amazed to see almost real fighting on TV for the first 5-6 years. It looks terrible now. Bellator tournaments were cool. They are still living off that developed talent. Their shows would be nothing without those guys. Maybe they weren't so bad.

Should have been 5-6 big signings from the UFC by now, not 2-3. Should be better cards than under Bjorn by far.. There isn't. Tricky v Chandler is just a tournament semi-final under Bjorn, and that isn't bad. It's just not a good show right now, imo. Look at the fkn demographics of Sherdog.. We are in our fkn 30's now. Many of us regular sports fans. Many of us white and college educated. Why are you making it for idiots? The Mexican crowd gets the Boxing class act, and we get fixed interviews on Spike. Could be done better.
