UFC never wanted to shell out for testing. For years, they said “it’s up to the commission“.

It was the media and fans that agitated for testing. And UFC couldn’t have the bad publicity as they were working on the sale. They were also advised by lawyers that if somebody died in fight, UFC’s unwillingness to pay for a new testing regime left them liable.

That’s the only reason they have testing. They don’t give a fuck about steroids. They’re not on any “high horse”.

I don’t know the details but this makes sense to me. No way UFC would make things harder on themselves unless they absolutely had to.

In Pride... it wasnt against the rules so game on...who cares....but also in pride you could soccer kick your opponent on the ground....something which if it happened in the UFC this weekend, everyone would be screaming bloody murder about it, why??? because its against the current rules of the sport, dont pick and choose what constitutes cheating

The difference is that the NFL is openly letting everyone know they do not give an actual fuck about PEDs and support that with trivial suspensions.
