Khabibs stand up didn't look great. I was thinking the same thing when watching the fight.

Eh, he was measured, and didn't get hit as much as you're saying. Remember, Horcher was a kickboxing champ, or something along those lines. Khabib's stand up defense actually looked tighter, and he looked less reckless, overall.

Great performance by the Eagle, and I think he's the uncrowned champ. I don't see anyone at LW being able to take that pressure for 5 full rounds. As long as he hasn't depreciated that much since his injuries (can't really tell against a guy like Horcher with his lack of elite ground game), he should be the champ very soon.

He didn't looked like he used to. He was slow and he didn't set his TDs with strikes like he would had do back then. But again, first fight in a long time. He also was kinda of tired when talking to Rogan.

But he will probably be the same after some fights.

People were in denial about how non elite Ronda was in are equally in denial about how truly elite Khabib is. It was a lose/lose for him tonight...any way he won, he beat a 'tomato can'. Who knows, maybe Horcher goes on to be something special. He has some great KO's and why trade in his strongest area when you are the best MMA grappler ever?

Khabib doesn't have the prettiest combinations but his defense is really, really good. He has excellent reflexes and head movement. The only time I've seen him get hit flush is against Healy who landed a good left.

Besides, nobody can stop his grappling so all he really needs is good defense standing. RDA couldn't do anything to him standing.
