Rookie fighters make rookie mistakes.

He entered the Octagon last night with a total of 6 career fights.

Heavyweight is so paper thin we shuffle around old farts and let inexperienced fighters have a go in the big leagues.

Right? And he did look to stumble a little when the ref helped him up. I think he was dazed, maybe not out, but dazed from the shots.
 
If you’re not hurt, then do literally anything to show it. Not moving when getting hit repeatedly is going to get any referee to stop it.
