Journeyman Jorge conned everyone

Jorge needs to add some muscle and take his training more seriously. He's got the frame for at least 10 more pounds of muscle. Will be a gatekeeper until he shows up in elite shape, it's impossible to beat strong high level grapplers otherwise. The strength disparity is too much. Needs to go 100% dedication, stop the partying, stop fucking around and show up ready to go.

He has some of the best striking in the UFC but no one will ever want to stand with him, he needs to adapt and improve otherwise he truly will stay a journeyman gatekeeper.
You're talking like he's some 25 yo. He's not drastically changing anything.

Only fights he will win is against guys like Pettis, Cerrone, Diego and Lawler. All big names and way past prime.

Did the Journeyman land even one decent shot over 25 minutes?

As if a guy who lost to Ragin Al would actually beat Usman <Lmaoo><Lmaoo>

Jorge conned everyone, I bet Dana is annoyed he paid him extra

Ali Abdelaziz wins again

Not me. Lul

I think deep down, Jorge knew his gas tank was depleted and he simply didn't want to get GnP'd or KO'ed, so he fought to go the distance.
I agree. Does anyone know if Jorge has ever trained with Usman ? Usman called him like a big brother , and it almost seemed as if mas kinda knew what was required to not get gnp and content to keep being pushed on the fence once he realised the KO was gonna be there for him after the 1st

Not to mention how he blatantly faked a groin shot to buy time during the fight

I see through him and I'm glad others are too

I could see him beating Leon Edwards , I’m not impressed by Edwards , I don’t think he can take down mas or keep him down if he does . And I think Masvidal has him beat in the striking area

TBH he looked spectacular against Nate. Looked fringe ranked against Kamaru. Illustrates just how shit nate is nowadays.

It's possible to put muscle on in the 30's, 10 pounds is far from unreasonable. He's clearly never pushed himself to even close of what he could which is why journeyman is a great moniker.

Full camp vs 6 days?

Gimme a fucking break.
Wait...
weren't people claiming he did a full camp with DP, and also brought in some renowned wrestlers to train specifically for Usman (while Usman was training for Burns)??
Not saying one is better than the other, but this "6 days" excuse should not forgive the lack of effort (to get out of the fence) since round 1.

For a moment take a second and think the bussiness aspect of it!

If masvidal and his team claimed that he is in a bad physical shape that he is nowhere ready to take a five rounder etc. then there would be less interest for the fight which means less PPV.

Training and being in camp are 2 completely diffrent situations! Most of fighters stay active all year around but when they have a scheduled fight they train at a completely different pace!

I dont believe that a full training camp would help mas to win the fight but at least he would be more competitive! He gassed out in the first round of the fight!
Usman is a dominant champion but he is a bad thing for the sport development!! Makes it boring insinde and outside the cage! At the end of the day a sport can grow only if the fans find it exciting!
I wouldnt be surprised if his next title fight is on a PPV but a fight night or something!!!

NOMASvidal gassed out in the Maia fight pretty quickly too lol

Dude promoted the BMF title with Diaz and when it came down to the fight he clinched Nate against the cage to slow down the fight like he was a wrestler who didnt want to strike when both fighters is fresh.. If fans dont know what Jorge is about by now their stupid or dont follow the sport..

You're not totally wrong. Jorge definitely looked like he could carry an extra 5-10 pounds of lean body muscle/mass. That might have helped him in getting his back off the cage.

That's something i noticed at he weigh in. Usman looked much, much leaner at the same weight. I'd assume that in the Octagon, Usman was around 190, while Jorge was around 180.

That's significant when the fight essentially comes down to brute strength.

He didn’t con anyone, it’s people who were to blinded by nuthuggery and nice KOs who somehow thought he would stand a chance. Masvidal is a good fighter but he’s fringe top 10 at best.

Bullshit he is one of best stand up fighters in ufc right now if not the best boxer right now and he showed that he has Amazing TDD by stuffing most of Usmans takedowns and getting up fairly fast. He is very well rounded fighter thats extremely tough. He wont beat Snoozeman but he would of beat alot of the top 10 dudes.

Still like Mas and am still a fan. He did the best he could with 6 days notice. Managing to cut the weight itself in that space a time is f****** impressive and hardly any credit is given for that.

Well, look. I said the exact thing you wrote when people attempted to claim Masvidal actually prepared for Usman more than Usman prepared for Masvidal.
But I do think thew truth lies in the middle.

Because IMHO Masvidal was preparing to be a replacement. Otherwise, why would he call 2 wrestlers to help him prepare??
But I do agree that it is not at the same level as a full training camp. But not that far away either
